Greg says how he wishes to keep a journal earlier because the person who will write his biography,will have a lot of questions about his childhood,luckily for him he remembers them all and even when he wasn't born.Greg was in dark taking blackflips and taking naps whenever he wanted,then his mom would put some parental speakers on her belly and put on some classical music,thinking it would make him Greg a genius when he is born.Then she would use the microphone in the speakers to tell Greg about whats going in her life and would make Frank also tell Greg about his day at work and she would also read to Greg for a half hour until she slept.Greg could listen to everything she said,even if he didn't want to and whenever his parents kiss,then Greg would feel uncomfortable and kick so they could stop,but his parents find it funny that they hear a kick everytime they kiss,so they kiss again to hear it again,making it worse for Greg.After staying like these for months,Greg was finally born,Greg was in a very lousy mood and wanted to tell the doctor to put him back in,Greg has been trying to catch up all the sleep he has missed since he was a baby.Greg tries to get that feeling back by puting bath salts,bubble bath in his tub and fold his eyes.When he was born,he thought he was the only child until he met his elder brother,Rodrick making him dissapointed,his family lived in a small apartment,so Greg had to sleep in the dresser drawer,while Rodrick in the crib,soon his family moved away and Greg got a crib and Rodrick a bed.Back in those days,almost everything Greg got was hand-me-downs from Rodrick and when Greg got them they were all worn out.There was only four of them,until his mother told them that they're having another baby.When Manny was born,he had a black stub where his umbilical cord was tied,when his stub dried nobody saw it,so Greg got paranoid its going to come in his food ore somewhere else.His mother bought him educational videos to make him smart,Greg would change the  channel to something he liked and he also removed the batteries from the remote,so his mother will be not able to change the channel,however his mother did find the remote in Greg's crib.Susan didn't let Greg crawl on the floor alot,this resulted in Greg not knowing to walk and he was only person in his playgroup not to be able to walk,his mom bought him Baby Adventures Action Walker,it had a toys sticking on it,a cup holder and music coming out of it,Greg loved it and this made his playgroup mates jealous.But then Susan read a parenting magazine that said Baby Action Walkers are not good because they don't make the kids develop the bones to walk correctly,Susan then returned it and Greg was once again struggling to reach his first step.Greg learned to walk when he was in pre-school and all the kids in his class ha a head-start over him and they knew hot to use buttons and zippers and Greg needed help from a grown-up and they could do almost everything Greg couldn't do.Greg thought it was hard for him to keep up with them,so he started feeding them bad knowledge to slow them down,but his teachers thought Greg wasn't learning correctly,Susan thought Greg wasn't being challenged enough,so she made Greg skip pre-school and go to Kindergarten.The decision turned out to be a disaster for Greg as the kids in kindergarten could cut with scissors,colour inside the lines and do many thing Greg couldn't do,Greg got scared and the teacher had to get Susan get him,Susan made him go back to pre-school.Greg talks about a show called The Snurples,which Manny likes to watch and has a language only little kids like Manny could understand and Manny starts speaking in that language and gets very frustrated when no one in the family could understand him,Susan read in a article in the newspaper that The Snurples sets kids back in their language development and social skills,Greg thinks that Snurples is the reason why Manny doesn't interacts with other kids.Greg talks about how Manny has made a bunch of Imaginary Friends called Joey,Petey,Danny,Charles Tribble,The Other Charles Tribble and Johnny Cheddar,Manny uses them to escapes uncomfortable situtaions and get extra dessert,Susan said Manny would get traumatized if anyone tells him that his friends aren't real.His imaginary friend,Johnny Cheddar is the trouble-maker of the pack because when Manny does something wrong like breaking a dish,he blames it on Johnny Cheddar and Susan gives his imaginary friends time-outs instead of giving it to Manny.Susan came up with a idea called Family Night,where the whole plays a board game or go out to dinner together because she is sensetive about Manny's social skills.Whenever they go out for dinner,they end up going to a resturant called "Corny's Family-Style Restaurant",they have a rule that people are not allowed to wear tie and they would cut your tie if you come wearing one.They have two sections,"Adult Alley" and "Children's Alley",the family always go to children's alley because they have Manny with them.The Children Alley is very dirty and has half-eaten food on,crumpled-up napkins on the floor and seats.The Children's Alley is right next to the bathrooms and the door are swinging open.According to Greg,they have terrible serivce and they always get buffet and the food in the trays are always mixed together.In the dessert bar,they have an ice-cream dispenser were a user could make their own sunade,but most of the kids mess around with it.They also have a ball-pit where Susan makes Manny go,thinking he will interact with kids his age,but he buries himself in the pit until its time to go.In morning,Greg woke up and started doing household chores and heard a knock at the door,he opened it up and found his uncle,Gary standing at the door.A few weeks back,Gary told Frank if he could take a loan to buy up a guy who works at Boston's shirts,Frank was going to say no but Susan forced him to give him a loan,after buying up the shirts,Gary noticed the shirt had a typo,but he wasn't giving up to sell them.The Heffleys spent the whole morning putting them into the Garage,Gary sold one to Rodrick for three bucks.Living with Gary has created many problems,when he was sleeping in Manny's room in a air mattress,he had a nightmare that woke him up at middle of the night,it caused Manny to move his bed from the walls,thinking there are monkeys inside and whenever Rodrick gets kicked out of bed by Frank at 8 Am,Rodrick has to sleep on the upper part of the couch.Greg tells how his Dad wants Gary to get a job and how he is quiting every job he gets and how he wants Gary to buy his own bubble bath because he used up all of Greg's bubble bath.Greg had to  threw his jeans out a few weeks ago due to an accident that happened,the ball-room dancing unit's partner selection was being done,the teacher,Mrs Moretta told them to get partner you needed to write their name in a slip of paper,Greg said he will be fine if he gets paired with anyone except for Ruby Bird.Ruby is the only girl in his school to be suspended,she has a habit of biting people and she has only one front tooth because the other one got stuck in Mr Underwood's elbow after she bit him,Greg has been nice to Ruby because he is afraid that she might bite him,Greg is scared that Ruby might write his name,so he wrote a slip to the teachers and also put a half-eaten candy to make it more sure he doesn't gets paired up with her.It was the beginning of the class and Mrs Moretta called out the names for the patners,Ruby Bird ended up getting paired with Fregley and at the end Greg and four other guys hadn't got a partner,they realized they didn't have to dance and they could play throwball,but the teacher paired the boys with each other,Greg was forced to dance a waltz with Carlos Escalera.The Phys Ed got cancelled because they had a special assembly,they got a hyptonist called Amazing Andrew,in his grand finale,he hyptonized a line of eighth-graders into thinking that there arms are glued together and whenever he said "Cucumber!" they arms would unlink,two kids who thought he was fake tried it on their own,they weren't able to get their arms unlink even after saying Cucumber,they went to a teacher and then the teacher tracked down Amazing Andrew's job and told them to unlink their arms.Greg talks about two special assembly guests who came before,one was Strong Steve,he gave kids a speech about how they needed to stay of drugs,then he ripped a phone-book as his grand-finale,the kids got crazy after him and ripped half of the books in the library and the librarian had to replace them.The other was Krisstina who sang a song with positive lyrics,she claimed to be a international pop,but she have never been out of the state.Then a police-officer had came and told them about "narc" which was posing to be a high-school student and report all bad things the teens are doing.After that Greg and Rowley started their own detective agency,people didn't hire them so they started spying on their own.Greg told Rowley about how a kid called Scotty Douglas borrowed a video-game from Greg and is saying that he lost it,he told Rowley to go and check if he is lying or not,but Greg caught Rowley playing the video game with Scotty,so he fired Rowley and shut down the agency.A Special Assembly was today,there wasn't any guests,but Vice Principal Roy told everyone that their having a election to replace the student council because the current student council were skipping the meetings.Mr Roy said that there is a rule that you had to go to every meeting and you can't have more then three detentions or more,Greg was dissappointed because he had picked his third detention by a selling a fake "Secret Elevator" pass,Greg bought the pass on his first day of middle-school from a eighth grader and it turned out to be a fake pass that led to the janitor room.Then Greg realized that Rowley never got a detention and he could make Rowley be a candidate for the student council and he would control Rowley's desicions.Rowley ran for Social Chairperson,Greg didn't knew what it meant but he let Rowley take it.All the candidates started handing out buttons,candy and posting posters to get themselves elected.Greg came up with a idea to get Rowley selected,his idea was that he would make a bundle of shirts that spelled "Vote Rowley Jefferson for Social Chairperson",he got a buch of Gary's shirts from the garage and started writing a letters in them all,he was giving a piece of bubble gum for those who were  willing to wear it.But it was hard for Greg to get them in the right-order,then Greg realized only candidates to give speeches were ones running for President.The first candidate was Sydney Greene who is a straight-A student and never missed a day of school,her speech was that if she gets elected she would get better equipments for the music room and new protective covers for library books.Then the next candidate was Bryan Buttsy,nobody could here what he said because everyone started to make fun of his sername.Then the last candidate was Eugene Ellis,he hadn't put posters or hand out lollipops or anything,his campaign speech was that if he gets elected he will replaced the cheap toilet paper in the bathrooms with the expensive and quilted kind,the kids realized the problems with toilet paper and elected him.Rowley also got elected since he was the only one running for "Social Chairperson".In the first meeting,the Student Council teacher,Mrs Birch said that the school can't afford quality toilet paper,everyone who voted Eugene got very mad.The Teachers said they're having a fundraisers.Gary spent all his money on scratch cards,Frank got mad and told him that he has a better chance of getting struck by lightning then winning these lotteries,this made Manny scared and he wouldn't walk out of the house if its raining.Gary has got addicted to a virtual-world game where the user could be anything they want,but Gary's character is a guy who keeps buying scratch cards.

Greg talks about the show "[[The Snurples]]" and how it has it own language that only three-year-olds would understand and how Manny talked to everybody in that language.
 
Greg says how Manny locks himself up in Sweetie's old excersise pen to keep his toys to himself and a kid who terrorized Manny and acted like a vampire, Greg says he feels bad for Manny and how he had a scary kid called [[Bradley]] in pre-school who terrorized him any chance  he got and how Mom wrote "Bad Bradley," a book about him and right before it was published his family moved in again, Susan scrapped it but read the stories to Manny to make him learn,but this made Manny scaried of kids his age,hinting why he doen't has any real friends.
 
Greg talks how Manny has Imaginary friends called [[Joey]], [[Petey]], [[Danny]], [[Charles Tribble]], [[The Other Charles Tribble]], [[Tiny Jim]], and [[Johnny Cheddar]] and how he uses them to escape from uncomfortable situations like when he broke the plate he told Johnny broke it and he used Danny to get extra dessert.
 
Greg talks about Corny's Family-Style Resturant and how they have a rule of not wearing ties and how they cut his dad's off and how the kid area is a total disaster and it even has bathroom doors near the tables and they're always swinging open and how kids mess up with Ice-Cream dispenser.
 
Mom makes Manny go into the ball pit so he interacts with other kids, but he just hids himself until its time to go and Greg tells how Manny once got stuck in a tube and when Greg found Manny but  he also got scared and they had to have a waiter come and save them, this caused Greg's favorite jeans to get dirty and even though washing them with bleach thrice  the stains didn't go.
 
This made Greg wear trousers that are three-inches short for him on the Ball-Room Dancing Unit's patner selection.
 
Greg says how his Mom ruined his time table of the year by three-hours the story went: Mom wanted Manny to feel what its like in midnight without making him stay up late night, so she turned all the clocks three hours ahead and made Frank count with Manny, Greg thinks it is really new year and does countdown with them and sleeps at 10:30 PM thinking its 1:30 AM.
 
Greg was doing his chores in the morning and heard a knock at the door,it was his [[Uncle Gary]] and he had borrowed Money from Frank to buy "Boston" shirts from a guy at Boston, but they had a typo saying "Botson", but he still didn't want to give up selling them and he, Frank and Greg spent the whole morning putting the shirts in the garage and he sold one to Rodrick for three bucks. Living with Gary wasn't easy for the Heffleys. Greg talks about how he has nightmares that wake him up in the middle of the night and one of them made Manny move his bed away from the walls thinking there are monkeys inside them and he used up all of Greg's bubble bath. He also talks about how Gary sleeps through most of the day and whenever Rodrick gets kicked out of Bed on 8:00 AM, doesn't has his place on the couch so he has to sleep on the top of the couch and Greg explains how Gary has been trying to get a job but quits them.
 
Greg says how his Dad to him to "[[Bring Your Child to Work Day]]" at his office last year and how adults tried to keep the kids entertained and towards the end of the day Dad took Greg into his office, then he got distracted and give Greg a dollar to buy anything from the vending machine,but he got a box of jawbreakers then his father told to go out of the room, so Greg went to the bathroom. Dad goes home and leaves Greg behind, but luckily a janitor found him other wise he would have stayed the whole night there.
 
Greg says how he wrote down [[Baylee Anthony]]'s name as his dance patner a year ago,but Baylee didn't write Greg's names and wrote down Bryce Anderson's, just like every other girl does, but Bryce got paired up with another girl called McKenzie Pollard and Baylee got Greg because he picked her but she kept complaining she didn't want Greg, so she didn't wanted a repeat of that last year thing so she went around the room and told all the boys she didn't wanted to get paired up with to not write her name.
 
Greg tells that he will be fine if he gets paired up with anyone except for [[Ruby Bird]], who is a girl who has only one front tooth because she bit [[Mr. Underwood]]'s arm and it got stuck there and she is the only girl to be suspended, so Greg writes a note saying "Please do not put me with Ruby Bird." and sends it to the teacher and even puts in a half-eaten candy to make sure that didn't happen and kept praying when got home.
 
Ruby Bird ended up getting paired up with [[Fregley]] and Greg says that they're made for each other and then he and four other guys didn't get a partnner. They realized that they don't have to do ballroom dancing unit and could play throwball for three weeks, but Mrs Moretta made the boys dance with each other, so Greg was dancing waltz with [[Carlos Escalera]].
 
They got a hyptonist called [[Amazing Andrew]] for the general assembly and he hyptonized a line of eighth-graders into thinking their arms with superglued and he would say "Cucumber!" two times to make them unlink,a couple of guys who thought he is a fraud tried it, and they got superglued together and weren't able to unlink,so a teacher had to track amazing Andrew's job and go their and make him unhyptonize them.
 
They got a guy called Strong Steve last year and said they should stay away from drugs and ripped a phone-book with his bare-hands, kids got so crazy after him that they ripped half of the references books in the libary and they had to get replaced, and Greg says how he doesn't wants school to bring in the singer called Kristinna who calls herself a international pop star, but she has never been out of the state and her lyrics are positive.
 
A police officer came to the school and told everyone about being a "narc" which was basically a job posing as a highschool student to catch the teens that were doing bad things, Greg thinks it is an awesome job and he and Rowley start their own dectective agent,their first case was Greg told Rowley to go and make [[Scotty Douglas]] give back Greg's game, but Greg caught Rowley red-handed playing his video game with Scotty so he fired Rowley and shut down the agency.
 
There was a general assembly and Mr. Roy told everyone that student council selections are being done, Greg wanted to run, but people with three or more detentions were not allowed, because Greg picked up his third one last week after selling a fake special pass for a secret elevator to a new middle schooler, but he got busted by [[Vice Principal Roy]], this pass was given to Greg on his first day of middle school by a eighth grader and the secret elevator turned out to be the janitor's room.
 
Greg then realized, Rowley never got a detention,so he thought he will guide Rowley to what to do if gets elected and another bonus for Greg is he will never miss a recess, so he became Rowley's campaign manager, but then Rowley registered for "Social Chairperson" and Greg didn't know what that means, but he let Rowley take that.
 
Some kids were giving out candies,buttons and posting posters and Greg comes up with a idea of  Getting Rowley elected by getting some of Uncle Gary's shirts and writing on them letters that will spell out "VOTE FOR ROWLEY JEFFERSON AS SOCIAL CHAIRPERSON" and he would give them a piece of bubble gum if they wore it,it got hard for Greg to make them stand in the right order, then he found that only canidates running for president will give speech,the first candidate was [[Sydney Greene]] who is straight A student and never missed a day at school, she said she'll get better equipment for music room and will put protective covers on the books from library, next was Bryan Buttsy when he went to the stage, everybody started making fart noises and made fun of his sername.
 
Then Eugune Ellis came and he was the only canidiate who didn't post posters or hand out lollipops or anything,so everybody thought of not taking him seriously, but then he said that he will improve the toilet paper quality by getting expensive quilted one, then everybody relaized the problems with toilet paper and elected him.
 
In the first day of student council, the council teacher Mrs Birch told Eugene its to expensive to stuff all kid bathroom with quilted kind of toilet paper, so the teacher had a fundraiser, in Greg's last fundraiser he forget sell the candies and ate about fifteen making his mom write cheques to pay back the school.
 
Uncle Gary spend all his money earned into a bunch of scatch cards, but then Frank told him he has a better chance of getting struck by lightning then winning these scratch cards, this made Manny scared and he wouldn't step out of the house if its raining thinking he might get struck by lighting, Greg also explains how his Dad hates scratch cards,Some years ago at Christmas, Frank bought a winter jacket for Gary, but Gary gave him a scratch card, Dad was disappointed, but when he started scratching the cards he scratched three cherries and won a hundred thousand dollars but he found it was a fake gag gift.
 
Gary spends a lot of time playing a online virtual-world game,where your can be anything,but in the game Gary's character is a guy who doesn't have a job and buys a bunch of scratch cards everyday.

A few days ago at the student council meeting, the treasurer Javan Hill went to use the bathroom,but then he came out with a a pillow-soft ultra toilet paper in teacher's bathroom,so the teachers made a rule everybody is allowed bring their own toilet papers to school,but they limited them to 5 because the kids got to many and had to carry them everywhere.
Greg had a stash of twenty and he wanted them to last for a year,so he went to a stall in bathroom and put some old shoes in there and it made it look like it was occupied, so kids stayed away from that. But one day Greg forgot to take one shoe of the ground, so it looked suspicious and the kids stole Greg's stash.
The Student council thought of making fund-raisers,vice president [[Hillary Pine]] said that they should do a car wash,Secretary Oliva Divas said that they should do a giant yard sale, Greg wanted to sell caramel popcorn so he said it throught walkie-talkie, but Rowley kept it on low volume, Eugene suggested a pro wrestling match in the game, Javan Hill made up a idea of a motocross stunt show, but they couldn't deicde which is better so they had a mixed wrestling-motocross event.
Hillary reported that the wrestling/motocross event morphed into a VALENTINE'S DAY dance,the other people wanted to change it but Mrs Birch said that they had to respect their decision, Rowley got invited to the Dance Committee because he's the Social Chairperson.
Many guys said that there is no way they're gonna pay three bucks for a dance in gymnasium, but it all changed when the first Candy Grams were handed out.
The Candy Grams are invatations to the Valentine's Day dance and you could get them for 25 cents.
[[Bryce Anderson]] got ones from five different girls after the first wave of Candy Grams got delivered those who didn't get, got jealous and they had a big rush at the Candy Grams at luch time,There are more boys then girls in Gregs class this year, so most of the guys are nervous that they will be left behind without a patner,at lunch guys used to take spoonfuls of mashed potatoes and flick them up at the ceiling to try getting them stuck,they all stopped it because if they wanted a date,they had to behave their best.
When there aren't girls around, the guys start doing their pranks and things.
Greg's class were in middle of basketball unit, a kid named [[Anthony Renfrew]] pantsed [[Daniel Revis]] when he was shooting free throws,everybody except for Daniel laughed, Daniel got Anthony back when he was doing a layup, after that everybody started pantsing each other, nobody now stands because they are paranoid that they will get pantsed, Greg started wearing two pairs of shorts under his sweatpants for insurance.
Vice Principal Roy came to the gym and lectured the boys whoever pantse somebody else will be suspended,but right at that time the mad pantser pantsed Vice Principal Roy, people started calling that kid "Mad Pantser".
Almost everybody in Greg's class got one and Travis Hickey who can eat a crust of pizza out of a trash can, even got one.
Greg thought of getting advice from Gary, because he has been married four times and is an expert in relationships, he told Greg to buy a bunch of Candy Grams and have them all deliver to him making Girls think he was a hot property.
Greg used his 2$ lunch money to buy many Candy Grams and they all delivered to him.
By now Greg had blown over five dollars and then he realized he is gonna starve to death if he keeps buying them,so he bought one and sent it to Adrianne and he also wrote "If answer is no, please hand this to Julia Barros."
When Greg walked into his class Adrianne and Julia both were giving him dirty looks,assuming that its no from both of them, Greg figured out that Candy Grams isn't the only way to ask, so he wrote a note for Leighann Marlow and put it inside her desk,but he forget that after school detention was in same room as history, so his card was scribbled by some other kid, but then Leighann did answer back and said she is not intrested in going to dance with Greg.
Greg gets really nervous that there aren't much girls left to choose,so he thought of going with [[Erika Hernandez]] who broke up with her boyfriend, Jamar Law, who is famous in the school for getting his head stuck in a chair, but Greg thinks if he get good with her, the story about her ex-boyfriend will always be in his mind and he can't get past that.
Greg drew a chart about kids in his school to see who dates who and who hates who,but his version is incomplete,Greg says he worries about [[Evan Whitehead]], he bragged that he has kissed many girls in Greg's grade, but last week he got chicken pox and went home so Greg wanted to know how many girls he infected.
Gary told me that if Greg wanted a girl to go with he had to ask her face to face,he thought of going with Peyton Ellis,a girl who Greg has a crush on,he saw her near the water fountain,so he stood their patiently and waited for her to drink,but she realized Greg was gonna ask her to go with him to the dance,so she kept on drinking until the bell was over and they had to go to the classrooms.
Greg thought of getting his science lab patner Bethany Breen, but Greg haven't made a good impression on her because he makes her do the dissecting of the frogs and do the writing part while Greg tries not to vomit, Greg thinks he has been a pretty hilarious partner, so he walked up to Bethany when she was getting her coat out of the locker, Greg was nervous talking to her even though he spends 45 minutes everyday with her as lab patners,but the frog things made him nervous.
Uncle Gary told Greg to get a wingman, so he asked Rowley, Greg explained him the concept so Rowley said maybe they could be each other's wingman's,but Greg said we should do it for a person at a time, Rowley didn't did it well by saying things like "I heard Greg Heffley has really strong muscles."
Rowley told Greg that Alyssa Grove told the Dance Committee that she broke up with her boyfriend and need a date to the dance,Alyssa is one of the most popular girls in Greg's grade,so he thought of getting her before anyone else does.
Greg called Alyssa's number, Greg thought of sending her a message, but Rowley was in his room and he made Greg laugh by making funny faces and runied his messages, so Greg and Rowley started goofing around with it and when they had recorded 20 messages he deleted them all.
But at Dinner that night Alyssa's father came and told Frank that Greg and Rowley have sent twenty prank messages to his machine.
Gary tells Greg he should update his wardrobe,because wearing a new shirt or shoes will make him more confident,But more then half of Greg's clothes are hand-me downs from Rodrick,So He asks his mother to buy some new ones for him,but Susan said to Greg that how kids in middle-school are concerned about their looks and how it doesn't matters,Greg started looking at Rodrick's wardrobe,but the Rodrick has a different taste in clothings then Greg,Gary told Greg to check Frank's,Greg found a black leather jacket and liked it,he asked his father if he can borrow it,his father allowed him and said its old and he doen't needs it anymore,but his Mom said that its to expensive for a kid in middle-school to wear and that Greg might damage it or lose it.
After taking a shower in the morning,Greg took the leather jacket and sneaked out of the house without his mom seeing him,while Greg was going to school he started shivering because that jacket wasn't a winter one,so Greg kept his hands inside the pockets to keep them warm,but he found something in both of the pockets,one had aviator sunglasses and other had picture strips which had picture of his parents kissing,that disgusted him,when he went to school everybody started seeing him,he got so much attention he kept it on even in the homeroom,but before the bell rang to start the day there was knock at the homeroom door,it was his Mom,his mom told him to return it,but Greg said it was to cold for him to go out without it,so she gave Greg her winter coat to wear.
Everybody heard about that and they started teasing Greg and were laughing at him,so he thought of getting some girls from church to go with him,he heard that church students think public school students are tough,so he acts cool infront of church children if he meets one of his  friends there.
Recently his Mom became friends with Mrs Stringer at the church because they both worked on the autumn fair committee,the stringers have two children,one girl name Laurel and a boy around Manny's age,Weasley.
Greg's mom invited the whole stringers for dinner at the house,so Greg,Rodrick and Frank had to clean the house,they still had the christmas tree and it was hard to dismantle it,so they shoved it into the garage and there were diapers tape on all corners of the family room,that was from when Susan was making the house baby proof for Manny and Gary was sleeping so they covered him with a sheet and hoped nobody wanted to sit there.
Greg saw his opportunity,Laurel is same age as Greg and according to Greg is more pretty then most of his classmate girls,when the Stringers came,it turned out the kid who scared Manny,was Wea=sley Stringer,so Manny skipped Dinner and went to bed,Greg wanted the same to because his mom made a fancy dish to impress the guests,it was Mushroom chicken with asparagus on top and Greg didn't wanted to look unsophisicated infront of Laurel, Mrs. Stringer said that they can't find a relaible babysitter and Laurel is doing something with her friends,then Greg spoke up and said if they needed a babysitter they should hire him, Mrs Laurel seems impressed and asked him if he was free tommorow and he said he was.
His Mom dropped him at their house at 6:30, Mrs. Stringer told Greg to put Wesley at bed by 8:00 and they will return at 9:00, to help himself to anything in the fridge and he could watch till they came home and that Laurel has gone,this dissapointed Greg because he wanted to talk to her about the dance,Greg asked Wesley if he wanted to play a board game,he said he wanted to ride his bike, Greg said it's to cold outside to ride, Wesley said he wanted ride inside, but Greg said that would ruin the furniture and he might get hurt, but Wesley throw a huge tanturum and when he calmed down,he said to colour instead,So Greg asked him were his coloring stuff were he said there are at laundry room and when Greg went there, Wesley locked the door, Greg could hear many noises half a hour later, Greg pushed the subsitute fridge which was blocking some door, but he realized he has to catch off guard,so he jumped out of the window and tried to find a unlocked one that led to ground, he did find one and he landed head first in Laurel's room, he was tired and slept there, but the Stringers returned right at that moment and presumably fire him.
Greg got nervous after blowing his chances with Laurel and he still hadn't had a partner and thought he will have to spend the Valentine's day sitting inside the house and play video games, but Rowley said that a girl called Abigail Brown was upset during a meeting with the Dance Committee, her boyfriend Michael Sampson had a family obligation and now she also has a dress and nobody is going with her, so Greg decided to go with her as couples, but he decided he didn't know her good and he decided to go with her as a group of friends with Rowley, Rowley seemed happy with that, the only problem they had was a ride, so Greg knew Rowley's dad has a nice car so he took him as a driver.
He told Gary about the dance, Gary got excited and he asked how many people are going to be there and if they have hired a DJ, Greg said he didn't know and he told Greg to wear a suit.
Greg found a suit in Rodrick's closet and he couldn't find any cologne there, but he found a bottle of spray that they're advertising on TV that it attracts a lot of Girls,so Greg thought the night could be a nightmare if he wears it,so he sprayed on his Great Uncle Bruce's cologne thinking it was safer and he bought some chocolates for Abigail, but Greg already had ate the butter creams, peanut clusters and caramels, so he hopes Abigail likes coconut and toothpaste tasting likes.
Greg went over to Rowley's house and he noticed he had some bumps on his face,then he realized he had chicken pox,so he got a mirror and showed that he has chicken pox, Rowley freaked out,then Greg put his Rowley's Mom's make up,it hid them but anybody could say Rowley has put makeup so he gave him a scarf and noticed some at his forehead so he gave him a beach hat and made him wear socks in his hands, Greg sees a booster seat and asks Rowley why is it still their,Rowley said he never took it off and still uses it, then when they got near Abigail's house,Greg asked Mr.Jefferson to honk the horn to make Abigail know they are there, but he said thats no way to treat a lady and said one of them had to escort her, Rowley was going but Greg stopped him and went instead, Mr. Brown opened the door and told Greg to sit and told him Abigail was getting ready, it took Abigail a long time and Greg thought of bailing out,but right that momment she came down,so when they got to the car, Abigail was wearing a very poofy dress so Greg thought there was no way he was sitting in Rowley's booster seat,so he volunteered to ride on the front seat, but Mr. Jefferson had paper there, so Greg sat in the back.
Abigail thought Rowley was sitting on the booster seat as a joke, Greg asked Mr. Jefferson to put on the radio, but he turned on his portfolio because Greg called him a "driver," Rowley and Abigail got into a conversation, but Greg couldn't hear a single word.
Then Mr. Jefferson stopped to get his vaccum and he put it in the back,so when Greg got out of the car he had these black spoltches every where, didn't wanted to look like a slob, so he left his suit jacket, but when he got in Spriggo's, which is the fancy restaurant Mom and Dad are always talking about. The host told Greg that there was a dressing code that gentlemen had to wear sport jackets,nso he gave Greg a substitute one, when Greg sat down to order he smelled a very smelly smell, he found out that it was coming from that jacket, so he went to the bathroom and cleaned it and heated it,but the heated active BO and it spread,so he told Abigail and Rowley that place is for phonies and they took off, the only other restaurant in that area was Corny's and they were forced to go there.
They cut Rowley's tie before Greg had a chance to warn him, since they didn't have any little kids with them, they got seated in adults section, they got seated next to a family with crazy kids because they seperate adults and children sections with a glass, so Greg asked the waiter if they could move, their new table wasn't good because they could see two parents changing their baby's diapers so they got a couple of menus to block the view.
Then the waiteress got them corn chips and whenever Rowley wanted one, Greg would pass it with a straw,then Rowley started saying how in Summer his family rented a beach house and why they would never rent it again, then to impress Abigail, Greg said he will pay for the dinner, Greg had done many chores to get money to impress Abigail.
Then when the waiter came back, Abigail ordered two appetizers and Rowley also ordered the same, when he said that a molecule of his spet fell on Greg's lip and he wiped it on Abigail's dress when she wasn't looking,then when the waiter came for main course Greg ordered a plain hamburger to save money, Abigail ordered the most be expensive item on the menu called T-Bone steak, Rowley ordered the same, even though Greg signalled him to order something cheaper.
When the food came Greg's hamburger had lettuce and tomato and he took the lettuce and tomato off. But there is mayonnaise on his burger, too, so he told the waiteress that he ordered a burger with nothing on it, then the waitress wiped the mayonnaise off of the burger and left the napkin in the middle of the table, and that made Greg lose his appetite, but Greg still wouldn't have eat because they have a picture that Greg can stand.
Then after that Abigail and Rowley ordered desserts, Greg told the waitress that its Rowley's birthday and Rowley gets his free birthday cake, but Abigail still ordered a triple-layer chocolate cheesecake, which she only took two bites out of of, then when the bill came Greg payed all his money and even had to use his emergency $5, but it was wet so the waitress didn't accept it, so Greg had to draw it from Rowley's Dad.
Mr. Jefferson hugged Rowley it looked wierd to Abigail.
The Theme of dance was "Midnight in Paris" and it was made to look like a street in france and it had long table with punch and snacks and even had strawberries to dip in a chocolate fountain, Greg was pretty impressed with it.
Then Abigail and Greg took a couple picture in the backdrop of Paris, but Rowley popped into the photo too.
Greg saw that Uncle Gary got the job as a DJ and he also sold his Boston shirt, then dark didn't make the kids get that they're being ripped off,Abigail was standing with Greg for a few minutes then went away, then he saw her with her friends, then they went into the girls' bathroom together, so Greg went to the boys bathroom to listen to their conversation, but the people were making noise, when it got quiet the girl already went away and Greg spotted them near the punch, just then at 7:50 Gary turned up the music and then some senior citizens came in.
A teacher named Mrs. Sheer told them they booked it two weeks ago for a dance, but the Senior Citizens said that they booked it two months ago and even had paperwork for proof, then some of the Dance Committee girls got into the conversastion and a fight was about to start, but then Mrs Sheer said the seniors can have their meeting on the other side and kids could dance the other side, everybody was fine with and then the janitor came to put partition.
The Seniors wanted the lights on for their meeting so they turned on the lights, but there was only one switch, so that ruined the "midnight" vibe and some kid who bought Uncle Gary's shirts said they've been ripped of, but Gary tried to distract them by turning music on and many people started dancing.
The Girls dance in a the middle of the gym in a big group,and the guy were trying break them but they were getting blocked, One of the seniors came to their side and said to turn the music down, so Gary turned it down by around 80% and everybody could hear every word of what the seniors were saying.
That didn't bother the girls, many took out personal music players and kept on dancing.
At the point the boys had enough of being in their best behavior in front of the girls so they totally cut loose and started taking of their ties,playing with the food and became crazy, the teachers tried to stop them but it didn't stop them.
The [[Mad Pantser]] struck again and pantsed Rowley near the stairs, every latecomer was turning and going back, Michael Sampson came in holding hands with Cherie Bellanger, the family obligation was a lie and Abigail cried for a half hour and Greg and her friends tried to cheer her up.
Right about that time the Senior Center meeting ended and they went to the dance side and ate all the refreshments, since there was nothing left for dipping in the chocolate fountain, they started sticking their finger at it and it was "Corny's all over" again, but one kid lost one of his contact lenses, so Mrs Sheer had to shut it down to fish out his lense.
Just then Seniors also started dancing, Greg's Great Uncle Bruce's cologne attracted some old ladies.
Just then Ruby Bird was coming to get Greg to dance with her, but before that Greg took Abigail's hand and took her to the dance floor.
During their dance, Greg noticed that Abigail had some bumps,he thought they're chicken pox and screamed and they turned out to be pimples, just then the dance ended and when they were riding back, Abigail didn't talk to Greg, Rowley Escorted her to her house.
Alot happened since the dance,Greg got chicken pox, Uncle Gary won $40,000 Dollars with one of his scratch cards and payed Frank the money he had owed him and wished Greg in luck and moved away, Greg said he heard Rowley and Abigail are now a couple and says that if that is true then Rowley is the "worst wingman in history." Greg is glad he has the chicken pox because he can take long baths while everyone is out of the house.Greg started thinking if he is not really alone because when he was taking a bath he had kept a clean towel near the tub and when he opened his eyes,it was gone,Greg started thinking somebody stole it or Johnny Cheddar had stolen it.

Birch,Mrs Birch said that its to expensive to fill the kid's bathrooms with quality paper,so she said that students are allowed to bring their own rolls.Some kids got so many rolls that they had to carry their supply whereever they go,in hthe lunch break at cafeteria,some kid threw a roll of toilet paper at someone,just then the kids started throwing rolls at each other.The Principal got angry and said that the kids are only allowed to bring five-squares of toilet papers and they were even checking if kids have got too many rolls or not,Greg had around twenty rolls,so he came up with a idea to save his supply.He went to cleanest stall door in the bathroom and put all his toilet paper there and slipped in two old shoes to make it look like if its occupied.Whenever Greg needed to use the bathroom,he used that stall.His system worked for only sometime because one day he forgot to pick up one of his old shoes when he was in the bathroom,this looked suspicious for the kids.Then they found out that Greg is hoarding quality paper,so they went and stole some of his papers.The Student Council stated brainstorming ideas for a class fundraiser,the vice-president,Hillary Pine said they should have a car wash,the secretary,Olivia Davis,suggested they should have a yard sale.Greg came up with the idea of selling caramel popcorn,but Rowley had kept his walkie-talkie not loud enough for them to hear.Eugene came up with a idea of a pro wrestling match in the gym and Javan Hill suggested a motocross stunt show,Eugene and Javan couldn't decide which idea is better so they settled on a mixed motocross/wrestling.Eugene thought it will take a lot of work to do a event like that,so he assigned that to the vice president,Hillary Pine.Hillary formed a Fundraising Committee and got her friends in the student council join it.Hillary reported back and said that the motocross/wrestling show morphed into a Valentine's Day dance,Eugene and the other guys wanted to change it back,but Mrs Birch told them to respect their desicion.After everybody heard about the dance,everyone got excited.Rowley got invited in the Dance Committee because he is the social chairperson.Many guys were saying that they're aren't going to pay three bucks just for a dance in gymnasium,but that all changed after the first Candy Grams were handed out,Bryce Anderson got from five different girls,the boys who didn't get got jealous.The kids who didn't get one,rushed into the Candy Grams stall at the lunch.The boys are trying to act their best if a girl is around.Whenever there are no girls around,the kids go back to doing imature things.The boys are doing basketball unit in Phys Ed and the girls playing on the other side and Boys in the other.A kid called Anthony Renfrew pantsed Daniel Revis when he was shooting free throws,then Daniel pantsed Anthony when he was going for a layup,after that everyone was pantsing each other,so nobody is standing and are just scooting on the floor without standing because they're afraid of getting pantsed.Vice Principal Roy went to the Gym and lectured the boys and said that if a person is caught pantsing another person,then they are suspended.But just then a boy sneaked under the seats and pantsed Mr.Roy,the person got away before they could catch,the person is being called as the "Mad Pantser".Everyone in Greg's homeroom is getting a candy gram,a kid called Travis Hickey,who could eat a pizza crust taken out of the dustbin.Greg went to Gary and asked him for advices,Gary told him that he should buy a many Candy Grams and deliver them all to himself,making them think Greg is a hot property.Greg brought two dollars" worth Candy Grams,those two dollars were Greg's lunch money so he is hoping it works.Greg had blown alot of money on Candy Grams,so Greg then realized if he kept buying Candy Grams he would starve,so Greg thought of buying a Candy Gram for a real Girl.Greg bought a Candy Gram and sent it to Adrianne Simpson,Greg wrote a little note below saying if she rejects Greg,then she should pas the note to Julia Barros,Greg did this to save his money.Adrianne and Julia both rejected Greg.Greg thought to write a note to Leighann Marlow because,the seat for Greg in History Class is the same one as the one for Leighann's homeroom class.So after writing the note,Greg put it under the desk.Before Leighann could read his note,some kid who was in after-school Detention,saw Greg's note and scribbled it,but Leighann did saw Greg's note,but she rejected Greg.Greg has been getting very nervous because they're not much girls left,one girl without a date is Erika Hernandez who broke up with her boyfriend Jamar Law after he got his head stuck in a chair.But Greg thinks if he even gets in good with Erika,the story about her ex-boyfriend will keep coming in Greg's mind and he won't be able to pass it.Greg drew a un-finished relationship chart to see who is dating who in Greg's grade.Greg is afraid of Evan Whitehead because he has been bragging that he kissed a lot of different girls in Greg's grade,but he was sent home from school because he had chicken pox,so Greg is thinking how many girls he has infected.One girl Greg is quite sure,Evan didn't kissed is Julie Webber because she has been going out with Ed Norwell since fifth grade.Gary told Greg that he should ask the girl in person to go to dance with him,Greg went near Petyon Ellis she was drinking from the fountain,she figured that Greg is asking her for the dance,so she kept on drinking until Greg wasn't out of there.Greg thought of asking his hands,then he put on his Mom's makeup to make it sure they couldn't see it,but anyone could clearly see he had make-up,so he covered it up with a silk scarf,then Greg noticed Rowley had some in ForeHead too,so he gave him a beach hat.Then when they got in the car,Greg realized that Rowley still had the booster-seat,so he told Rowley that they had to dismantle it,but it would take a lot of work,so he just screwed up.Then when they went near Abigail's house,Greg tolds Robert Jefferson to honk the horn so Abigail would know they've come,but Mr Jefferson said its not a good way to treat a lady,so Greg went to escort her,Abigail didn't open the door,but her father did instead,he said Abigail will be down soon and made Greg sit down in a chair,then Greg got fed up and was going out with Abigail,just then Abigail appeared and they took her to the car.Abigail thought Rowley was sitting in the booster-seat as a joke,it was very quiet in the car,so Greg told Mr Jefferson to turn on the radio,but he got angry and turned on something based on his portfolio instead because Greg called him "Driver".Then Mr Jefferson pulled over to get his vaccum.Then they stopped the car at Spriggo's,Greg noticed his suit was covered with the greasy smears that came from the vacuum cleaner,so he left his jacket in the car and went.The host told Greg that the males are required to wear a jacket,Greg wasn't going to get his jacket from the car so they gave Greg a subsitute one,then Greg smelled a bad smell and noticed it was coming from his jacket,Greg went to the bathroom and cleaned it with water and then dried it,but the heat activated Bo and it spread,so Greg told them that its a bad place and they should leave.After leaving they were forced to go to Corny's,when they got there,Rowley was wearing a tie,so they chopped Rowley's of.Since the three didn't have a little kid around,they got seated in adult's area,but there were kids pounding on the window and distrubing them,so they moved to another seat,the other seat had a gross view of a family changing the diaper of their baby,so Greg blocked the view with a few menus,the waiteress bought them corn chips,Greg would pass one to Rowley from a straw,because he thinks he might infect them.Then the waiteress came back,Abigail ordered Two Appetizers and Rowley also ordered the same,The waiteress couldn't understand Rowley so he had to removed his scarf to say that,when Rowley was telling the waiter,a little molecule of his spit landed on Gregs lips,Greg rubbed it on Abigail's dress when she wasn't looking.Then the Waiteress came back to ask them for their main-course,Greg ordered a plain-hamburger to save money,Abigail ordered T-Bone Steak,which is the most expensive item,Rowley ordered the same.Then when the food came,Greg's hamburger had lettuce and tomato.He told the waiteress,the waiteress wiped the lettuce and tomato of with a napkin.After that Rowley and Abigail ordered desserts,Greg lied to the waiteress that Rowley had a birthday to save money,then all the waiters and waiteresses came and sang happy-birthday to you and gave Rowley his freecake,Abigail ordered a chocolate-cheescake which she only ate half of,then when the bill came Greg had to use all his money,then he took out Emergency Money from his socks,but it was wet so he had to Get $5 from Rowley's dad.Then Mr Jefferson hugged Rowley,which looked wierd to Abigail.The Theme of the Dance was "Midnight in Paris" and there was a long table with punch and snacks and a chocolate fountain with strawberries for dipping,Rowley,Abigail and Greg handed their tickets and got into the line for photos,each couple had their photo taken at a backdrop of Paris,Abigail and Greg got together,but Rowley also popped in.Greg found that Gary was the DJ and Gary was also selling his shirts and due to the reason it was dark at the gym,the kids weren't knowing that they are getting ripped off.Abigail then went went to talk with her friends and then they all went to the girl's bathroom together.Greg went into the boy's bathroom to hear what they are saying,but people made noises and when it got quiet,the girls had gone,Greg spotted them at the table.At around 7:50 PM,Gary started the music and then people around Greg's gramma started coming in.By 8:00Pm there were many of them,they told the Teachers they had booked the gym for a meeting,but the teachers said they booked it for a dance two weeks ago,but Seniors said they booked it two months ago and had paperwork for proof,then the girls from Dance Committee started fighting with them,Mrs Sheer said the seniors can have their meeting at one side while the kids can dance on other,everyone was fine with it.The Seniors turned lights on,it was bad for Gary because the kids found they had been ripped of and went to Gary,Gary distracted them by turning on the music high.The Girls were dancing in a big group and the boys were trying to break into the circle.Then a senior came to their side and told them the music is too high and needs to be lowered down,Gary lowered it by around 80%,the kids could hear everyword the Seniors said in there meeting,this didn't seemed to bother the girls and a lot of them took out personal music players and kept on dancing.All the boys were tired of being there best behaviour infront of girls and started playing around with the food and drinks and started doing other types of idotic things,the teachers tried to stop them,but they didn't stop.Greg was going near the stairs,but Rowley was already there and he got pantsed by the Mad Pantser,all the late-comers were walking in and then going back.At around 9:00 PM Michael Sampson walked in holding hands with Cherie Bellanger,Abigail found out that the family obligations was a lie and Michael didn't expect Abigail to be there since he thought that if he couldn't come,she couldn't.Abigail started crying and Greg and her friends tried to cheer her up.Right then the Senior Centre meeting ended and all the seniors went to the kid's side and ate all the snacks.Since there was nothing to dip in the chocolate fountain,Kids started sticking their fingers directly in it,but Mrs Sheer had to shut it down to get back a kid's lost contact lense.Gary tured on the music back and the seniors started making song requests and started dancing too,just then some old ladies started attracting to Greg.Gary announced the last song is coming up,so a few kids paired up and walked out on the dance floor as couples.Greg wanted the dance to end just the he saw Ruby Bird coming to make him dance with her,Greg got scared and found Abigail and took her hand and went to dance with her.During their dance,Greg spotted some little red bumps on Abigail's face and thought it was chicken pox and screamed and freaked out,it turned out it was just a pimple.Just then the dance ended and they went back home,Abigail wasn't talking to Greg and was close to Rowley and was only talking to him.A lot happened after the dance happened,Gary won forty-thousand-dollar from one of his scratch cards,he repayed Frank the money he had owed him and wished Greg luck in his love life and moved away and Greg ended up getting chicken-pox,Greg found that Rowley had pimples not chicken-pox and he heard that Abigail and Rowley are now couples,Greg says if it is true then Rowley is the worst wingman in the history.Greg could take long baths without anyone bothering him and he feels a little lonley.Greg had kept a towel near his tub after he finished Bathing,the towel was gone,Greg thinks someone stole the towel or Johnny Cheddar stole it.</p>

Greg says how he wishes to keep a journal earlier because the person who will write his biography,will have a lot of questions about his childhood,luckily for him he remembers them all and even when he wasn't born.Greg was in dark taking blackflips and taking naps whenever he wanted,then his mom would put some parental speakers on her belly and put on some classical music,thinking it would make him Greg a genius when he is born.Then she would use the microphone in the speakers to tell Greg about whats going in her life and would make Frank also tell Greg about his day at work and she would also read to Greg for a half hour until she slept.Greg could listen to everything she said,even if he didn't want to and whenever his parents kiss,then Greg would feel uncomfortable and kick so they could stop,but his parents find it funny that they hear a kick everytime they kiss,so they kiss again to hear it again,making it worse for Greg.After staying like these for months,Greg was finally born,Greg was in a very lousy mood and wanted to tell the doctor to put him back in,Greg has been trying to catch up all the sleep he has missed since he was a baby.Greg tries to get that feeling back by puting bath salts,bubble bath in his tub and fold his eyes.When he was born,he thought he was the only child until he met his elder brother,Rodrick making him dissapointed,his family lived in a small apartment,so Greg had to sleep in the dresser drawer,while Rodrick in the crib,soon his family moved away and Greg got a crib and Rodrick a bed.Back in those days,almost everything Greg got was hand-me-downs from Rodrick and when Greg got them they were all worn out.There was only four of them,until his mother told them that they're having another baby.When Manny was born,he had a black stub where his umbilical cord was tied,when his stub dried nobody saw it,so Greg got paranoid its going to come in his food ore somewhere else.His mother bought him educational videos to make him smart,Greg would change the  channel to something he liked and he also removed the batteries from the remote,so his mother will be not able to change the channel,however his mother did find the remote in Greg's crib.Susan didn't let Greg crawl on the floor alot,this resulted in Greg not knowing to walk and he was only person in his playgroup not to be able to walk,his mom bought him Baby Adventures Action Walker,it had a toys sticking on it,a cup holder and music coming out of it,Greg loved it and this made his playgroup mates jealous.But then Susan read a parenting magazine that said Baby Action Walkers are not good because they don't make the kids develop the bones to walk correctly,Susan then returned it and Greg was once again struggling to reach his first step.Greg learned to walk when he was in pre-school and all the kids in his class ha a head-start over him and they knew hot to use buttons and zippers and Greg needed help from a grown-up and they could do almost everything Greg couldn't do.Greg thought it was hard for him to keep up with them,so he started feeding them bad knowledge to slow them down,but his teachers thought Greg wasn't learning correctly,Susan thought Greg wasn't being challenged enough,so she made Greg skip pre-school and go to Kindergarten.The decision turned out to be a disaster for Greg as the kids in kindergarten could cut with scissors,colour inside the lines and do many thing Greg couldn't do,Greg got scared and the teacher had to get Susan get him,Susan made him go back to pre-school.Greg talks about a show called The Snurples,which Manny likes to watch and has a language only little kids like Manny could understand and Manny starts speaking in that language and gets very frustrated when no one in the family could understand him,Susan read in a article in the newspaper that The Snurples sets kids back in their language development and social skills,Greg thinks that Snurples is the reason why Manny doesn't interacts with other kids.Greg talks about how Manny has made a bunch of Imaginary Friends called Joey,Petey,Danny,Charles Tribble,The Other Charles Tribble and Johnny Cheddar,Manny uses them to escapes uncomfortable situtaions and get extra dessert,Susan said Manny would get traumatized if anyone tells him that his friends aren't real.His imaginary friend,Johnny Cheddar is the trouble-maker of the pack because when Manny does something wrong like breaking a dish,he blames it on Johnny Cheddar and Susan gives his imaginary friends time-outs instead of giving it to Manny.Susan came up with a idea called Family Night,where the whole plays a board game or go out to dinner together because she is sensetive about Manny's social skills.Whenever they go out for dinner,they end up going to a resturant called "Corny's Family-Style Restaurant",they have a rule that people are not allowed to wear tie and they would cut your tie if you come wearing one.They have two sections,"Adult Alley" and "Children's Alley",the family always go to children's alley because they have Manny with them.The Children Alley is very dirty and has half-eaten food on,crumpled-up napkins on the floor and seats.The Children's Alley is right next to the bathrooms and the door are swinging open.According to Greg,they have terrible serivce and they always get buffet and the food in the trays are always mixed together.In the dessert bar,they have an ice-cream dispenser were a user could make their own sunade,but most of the kids mess around with it.They also have a ball-pit where Susan makes Manny go,thinking he will interact with kids his age,but he buries himself in the pit until its time to go.In morning,Greg woke up and started doing household chores and heard a knock at the door,he opened it up and found his uncle,Gary standing at the door.A few weeks back,Gary told Frank if he could take a loan to buy up a guy who works at Boston's shirts,Frank was going to say no but Susan forced him to give him a loan,after buying up the shirts,Gary noticed the shirt had a typo,but he wasn't giving up to sell them.The Heffleys spent the whole morning putting them into the Garage,Gary sold one to Rodrick for three bucks.Living with Gary has created many problems,when he was sleeping in Manny's room in a air mattress,he had a nightmare that woke him up at middle of the night,it caused Manny to move his bed from the walls,thinking there are monkeys inside and whenever Rodrick gets kicked out of bed by Frank at 8 Am,Rodrick has to sleep on the upper part of the couch.Greg tells how his Dad wants Gary to get a job and how he is quiting every job he gets and how he wants Gary to buy his own bubble bath because he used up all of Greg's bubble bath.Greg had to  threw his jeans out a few weeks ago due to an accident that happened,the ball-room dancing unit's partner selection was being done,the teacher,Mrs Moretta told them to get partner you needed to write their name in a slip of paper,Greg said he will be fine if he gets paired with anyone except for Ruby Bird.Ruby is the only girl in his school to be suspended,she has a habit of biting people and she has only one front tooth because the other one got stuck in Mr Underwood's elbow after she bit him,Greg has been nice to Ruby because he is afraid that she might bite him,Greg is scared that Ruby might write his name,so he wrote a slip to the teachers and also put a half-eaten candy to make it more sure he doesn't gets paired up with her.It was the beginning of the class and Mrs Moretta called out the names for the patners,Ruby Bird ended up getting paired with Fregley and at the end Greg and four other guys hadn't got a partner,they realized they didn't have to dance and they could play throwball,but the teacher paired the boys with each other,Greg was forced to dance a waltz with Carlos Escalera.The Phys Ed got cancelled because they had a special assembly,they got a hyptonist called Amazing Andrew,in his grand finale,he hyptonized a line of eighth-graders into thinking that there arms are glued together and whenever he said "Cucumber!" they arms would unlink,two kids who thought he was fake tried it on their own,they weren't able to get their arms unlink even after saying Cucumber,they went to a teacher and then the teacher tracked down Amazing Andrew's job and told them to unlink their arms.Greg talks about two special assembly guests who came before,one was Strong Steve,he gave kids a speech about how they needed to stay of drugs,then he ripped a phone-book as his grand-finale,the kids got crazy after him and ripped half of the books in the library and the librarian had to replace them.The other was Krisstina who sang a song with positive lyrics,she claimed to be a international pop,but she have never been out of the state.Then a police-officer had came and told them about "narc" which was posing to be a high-school student and report all bad things the teens are doing.After that Greg and Rowley started their own detective agency,people didn't hire them so they started spying on their own.Greg told Rowley about how a kid called Scotty Douglas borrowed a video-game from Greg and is saying that he lost it,he told Rowley to go and check if he is lying or not,but Greg caught Rowley playing the video game with Scotty,so he fired Rowley and shut down the agency.A Special Assembly was today,there wasn't any guests,but Vice Principal Roy told everyone that their having a election to replace the student council because the current student council were skipping the meetings.Mr Roy said that there is a rule that you had to go to every meeting and you can't have more then three detentions or more,Greg was dissappointed because he had picked his third detention by a selling a fake "Secret Elevator" pass,Greg bought the pass on his first day of middle-school from a eighth grader and it turned out to be a fake pass that led to the janitor room.Then Greg realized that Rowley never got a detention and he could make Rowley be a candidate for the student council and he would control Rowley's desicions.Rowley ran for Social Chairperson,Greg didn't knew what it meant but he let Rowley take it.All the candidates started handing out buttons,candy and posting posters to get themselves elected.Greg came up with a idea to get Rowley selected,his idea was that he would make a bundle of shirts that spelled "Vote Rowley Jefferson for Social Chairperson",he got a buch of Gary's shirts from the garage and started writing a letters in them all,he was giving a piece of bubble gum for those who were  willing to wear it.But it was hard for Greg to get them in the right-order,then Greg realized only candidates to give speeches were ones running for President.The first candidate was Sydney Greene who is a straight-A student and never missed a day of school,her speech was that if she gets elected she would get better equipments for the music room and new protective covers for library books.Then the next candidate was Bryan Buttsy,nobody could here what he said because everyone started to make fun of his sername.Then the last candidate was Eugene Ellis,he hadn't put posters or hand out lollipops or anything,his campaign speech was that if he gets elected he will replaced the cheap toilet paper in the bathrooms with the expensive and quilted kind,the kids realized the problems with toilet paper and elected him.Rowley also got elected since he was the only one running for "Social Chairperson".In the first meeting,the Student Council teacher,Mrs Birch said that the school can't afford quality toilet paper,everyone who voted Eugene got very mad.The Teachers said they're having a fundraisers.Gary spent all his money on scratch cards,Frank got mad and told him that he has a better chance of getting struck by lightning then winning these lotteries,this made Manny scared and he wouldn't walk out of the house if its raining.Gary has got addicted to a virtual-world game where the user could be anything they want,but Gary's character is a guy who keeps buying scratch cards.

In the last student council meeting,the Treasurer,Javan Hill went to use the bathroom and came out with a rolf of Pillow-Soft Ultra Toilet Paper,Eugene confronted Mrs Birch,Mrs Birch said that its to expensive to fill the kid's bathrooms with quality paper,so she said that students are allowed to bring their own rolls.Some kids got so many rolls that they had to carry their supply whereever they go,in hthe lunch break at cafeteria,some kid threw a roll of toilet paper at someone,just then the kids started throwing rolls at each other.The Principal got angry and said that the kids are only allowed to bring five-squares of toilet papers and they were even checking if kids have got too many rolls or not,Greg had around twenty rolls,so he came up with a idea to save his supply.He went to cleanest stall door in the bathroom and put all his toilet paper there and slipped in two old shoes to make it look like if its occupied.Whenever Greg needed to use the bathroom,he used that stall.His system worked for only sometime because one day he forgot to pick up one of his old shoes when he was in the bathroom,this looked suspicious for the kids.Then they found out that Greg is hoarding quality paper,so they went and stole some of his papers.The Student Council stated brainstorming ideas for a class fundraiser,the vice-president,Hillary Pine said they should have a car wash,the secretary,Olivia Davis,suggested they should have a yard sale.Greg came up with the idea of selling caramel popcorn,but Rowley had kept his walkie-talkie not loud enough for them to hear.Eugene came up with a idea of a pro wrestling match in the gym and Javan Hill suggested a motocross stunt show,Eugene and Javan couldn't decide which idea is better so they settled on a mixed motocross/wrestling.Eugene thought it will take a lot of work to do a event like that,so he assigned that to the vice president,Hillary Pine.Hillary formed a Fundraising Committee and got her friends in the student council join it.Hillary reported back and said that the motocross/wrestling show morphed into a Valentine's Day dance,Eugene and the other guys wanted to change it back,but Mrs Birch told them to respect their desicion.After everybody heard about the dance,everyone got excited.Rowley got invited in the Dance Committee because he is the social chairperson.Many guys were saying that they're aren't going to pay three bucks just for a dance in gymnasium,but that all changed after the first Candy Grams were handed out,Bryce Anderson got from five different girls,the boys who didn't get got jealous.The kids who didn't get one,rushed into the Candy Grams stall at the lunch.The boys are trying to act their best if a girl is around.Whenever there are no girls around,the kids go back to doing imature things.The boys are doing basketball unit in Phys Ed and the girls playing on the other side and Boys in the other.A kid called Anthony Renfrew pantsed Daniel Revis when he was shooting free throws,then Daniel pantsed Anthony when he was going for a layup,after that everyone was pantsing each other,so nobody is standing and are just scooting on the floor without standing because they're afraid of getting pantsed.Vice Principal Roy went to the Gym and lectured the boys and said that if a person is caught pantsing another person,then they are suspended.But just then a boy sneaked under the seats and pantsed Mr.Roy,the person got away before they could catch,the person is being called as the "Mad Pantser".Everyone in Greg's homeroom is getting a candy gram,a kid called Travis Hickey,who could eat a pizza crust taken out of the dustbin.Greg went to Gary and asked him for advices,Gary told him that he should buy a many Candy Grams and deliver them all to himself,making them think Greg is a hot property.Greg brought two dollars" worth Candy Grams,those two dollars were Greg's lunch money so he is hoping it works.Greg had blown alot of money on Candy Grams,so Greg then realized if he kept buying Candy Grams he would starve,so Greg thought of buying a Candy Gram for a real Girl.Greg bought a Candy Gram and sent it to Adrianne Simpson,Greg wrote a little note below saying if she rejects Greg,then she should pas the note to Julia Barros,Greg did this to save his money.Adrianne and Julia both rejected Greg.Greg thought to write a note to Leighann Marlow because,the seat for Greg in History Class is the same one as the one for Leighann's homeroom class.So after writing the note,Greg put it under the desk.Before Leighann could read his note,some kid who was in after-school Detention,saw Greg's note and scribbled it,but Leighann did saw Greg's note,but she rejected Greg.Greg has been getting very nervous because they're not much girls left,one girl without a date is Erika Hernandez who broke up with her boyfriend Jamar Law after he got his head stuck in a chair.But Greg thinks if he even gets in good with Erika,the story about her ex-boyfriend will keep coming in Greg's mind and he won't be able to pass it.Greg drew a un-finished relationship chart to see who is dating who in Greg's grade.Greg is afraid of Evan Whitehead because he has been bragging that he kissed a lot of different girls in Greg's grade,but he was sent home from school because he had chicken pox,so Greg is thinking how many girls he has infected.One girl Greg is quite sure,Evan didn't kissed is Julie Webber because she has been going out with Ed Norwell since fifth grade.Gary told Greg that he should ask the girl in person to go to dance with him,Greg went near Petyon Ellis she was drinking from the fountain,she figured that Greg is asking her for the dance,so she kept on drinking until Greg wasn't out of there.Greg thought of asking his lab partner,Bethany Breen,but Greg hasn't made a good impression on her because whenever they are dissecting frogs,Greg would make Bethany dissect the frogs and do the writings.Greg thought of going to Bethany to ask her,but Greg started getting nervous and started thinking about the frogs.Gary told him to get a wingman,Greg thought Rowley would be a perfect one,so he told that to Rowley and explained the concept to him.But Rowley didn't turn out to be a good wingman as he saying to much untrue things about Greg.Rowley told Greg that Alyssa Grove complained to the Dance Committee that she broke with her boyfriend and is looking for a date to the dance.Greg thought of getting hand on Alyssa before other boys get her.So when Greg got home,he called Alyssa's number,but nobody answered,so he was leaving a message but his message wasn't good so hit the hash key to delete it and started another one,but it was good too,so he deleted it again,Greg recorded around twenty messages but since he had Rowley in the room making funny faces he couldn't get a good one,then he and Rowley started goofing around with the machine,then he deleted them all.Then at dinner,Alyssa's father came and told Frank that Greg and Rowley had recorded twenty prank messages on his machine.Gary told Greg he should update his wardrobe because he said wearing something new would make him more confident,Almost everything Greg wears is hand-me down from Rodrick so Greg told his Mom to go buy him some new clothes,but his Mom said that how kids in middle-school are too focused on their looks.So Greg looked,hin Rodrick's wardrobe,but Rodrick had a different type of taste in clothings,so Gary told him to check Frank's closet,Greg found a black leather jacket,he asked Frank if he could borrow it,Frank allowed him but Susan said its to expensive for a middle school student to wear and Greg will lost or damage it.So after having a showever in the morning,Greg sneaked out of the house wearing the jacket,Greg was shivering because it wasn't a winter jacket,so Greg put his hands in the pockets and in one pocket he found aviator sunglasses and in other he found and photo-booth photo of his parents kissing,this disgusted Greg.Everyone in the school was looking at Greg,Greg got a lot of attention,so he wore it in the homeroom too,but just then a few minutes later,his mom came into the class and made Greg return the jacket,Greg said its too cold outside,so she gave Greg her winter coat to wear.The whole school knew about what happened to Greg and were making fun of him.This made it hard for Greg to find a date for the dance.He thought of getting some girl from church to go to the dance,Greg heard that Church school kids think that kids who go to public school are rough,so he acts cool if he meets a friend there.Recently,Susan became freinds with Mrs Stringer as they both worked on the Autumn Fair Committee,the Stringers have two kids,a girl Greg's age called Laurel and a boy around Manny's age called Wesley,his Mom invited the whole family for dinner.Greg got excited because he thinks he could impress Laurel and take her to the dance.The Heffley started getting the house ready before the stringers came,they still had the christmas tree and it was to much work for them to dismantle it so they shoved it into the garage and they were diapers taped on the corners of their family-room furniture that were left over from when Susan was baby-proofing the house when Manny started crawling and Gary was sleeping on the couch,so they covered him with a sheet.There were bulletin boards that had certificates for the kids for doing good things,Greg thought it was lame so he hid them in the pantry.When the family came,the kid who once scared Manny in the church turned out to be Wesley,Manny got scared and skipped dinner.Susan made mushroom chicken with asparagus on top to impress the guests,Greg hated the dish,but he tried to eat it without hesitating because he thinks Laurel will think he is weird.Then Mrs Stringer said that she and Mr Stringer don't go out on a date night because they can't find a relaible baby-sitter for Wesley,Greg said that he would be a perfect babysitter,Mrs Stringer seemed impressed.Susan dropped Greg at Stringer's house at around 6:30 PM,Mrs Stringer said Laurel had gone to a friend's house,Greg got dissappointed because he wanted to see her for sometime and talk to her about the dance.Mrs Stringer told Greg to put Wesley to be bed by 8 PM and they had be back by around 9 Pm.After they left,Greg asked Wesley if he wanted to play a board-game,Wesley said he wanted to ride his bike inside the house,but Greg told him it would damage the floors,Wesley had a fit,when calmed down he told Greg to get his colouring stuff from the laundry room.When Greg got inside the room,Wesley locked him in and started riding his bike.Greg stood there about a half-hour then he found a spare freezer blocking a door,Greg moved the freezer and squeezed throught the door.Greg went to open the front-door,but it was locked,so Greg thought of suprising Wesley and catch him,so Greg went all around the house to find a open window,after he found on,he jumped in it and landed in Laurel's room,Greg was too tired so he slept in her bed.But by the time,the Stringers came back and presumably fired him.After blowing his chances with Laurel,Greg gave up as it was only three days until the dance happens and he has no partner,just then Rowley told him that Abigail Brown  came to the Dance Committee and said her boyfriend,Michael Sampson has family obligation so he couldn't come to the dance and she has a dress and no is going to go with her to the dance.Greg got excited and thought this could be his chance to impress Abigail,Greg thought of going with her as couples,but since Abigail and Greg are not in-relationship,Greg decided to go with Abigail and Rowley as a dance group,Rowley seemed happy with that.Greg planned that the three will go out to dinner and in the resturant Greg would Impress Abigail and when they go to the dance,they'd walk in as a couples,Greg needed to find a ride,he didn't took his minivan as his seats are dirty and his Mom would Embarrass him,so he picked up Rowley's car because his dad has a nice car and he had great seats and they could fool Abigail into thinking he is a proffesional driver.Rowley and Greg asked Abigail about that and Abigail seemed happy and said she could go.Greg told Gary about the dance,Gary got excited and asked him if they have hired a DJ,Greg said he doesn't knows,Gary told Greg if he wanted to impress his date he should wear a suit,Greg found a suit he liked in Rodrick's Wardrobe,Greg couldn't find any Cologne,but he found a bottle of a body spray that according to its commercial makes Greg attract to you very quickly,Greg thinks if it works actually like that,then the dance could turn out to be a nightmare,so Greg sprayed on his Great Uncle Bruce's cologne and went to the grocery and bought a box of Valentine's Day chocolates but he already ate buttercreams chocolates,peanut clusters and caramels.Then it was the night of the Dance,Greg walked to Rowley's house and when Rowley opened it,Greg found two spots under Rowley's Mouth and he thought it was chicken-pox then Greg talks about how Evan Whitehead started the chicken-pox and how its spreading,then he showed a mirror to Rowley and Rowley freaked out,he was going to his parents to tell them,Greg said that he should just lie or otherwise they can't go to the dance,Greg had to give Rowley two chocolates to calm him down (an in that scene only Rowley is seen with closed mouth for first time).Then Rowley got scared,Greg gave him socks to wear in his hands,then he put on his Mom's makeup to make it sure they couldn't see it,but anyone could clearly see he had make-up,so he covered it up with a silk scarf,then Greg noticed Rowley had some in ForeHead too,so he gave him a beach hat.Then when they got in the car,Greg realized that Rowley still had the booster-seat,so he told Rowley that they had to dismantle it,but it would take a lot of work,so he just screwed up.Then when they went near Abigail's house,Greg tolds Robert Jefferson to honk the horn so Abigail would know they've come,but Mr Jefferson said its not a good way to treat a lady,so Greg went to escort her,Abigail didn't open the door,but her father did instead,he said Abigail will be down soon and made Greg sit down in a chair,then Greg got fed up and was going out with Abigail,just then Abigail appeared and they took her to the car.Abigail thought Rowley was sitting in the booster-seat as a joke,it was very quiet in the car,so Greg told Mr Jefferson to turn on the radio,but he got angry and turned on something based on his portfolio instead because Greg called him "Driver".Then Mr Jefferson pulled over to get his vaccum.Then they stopped the car at Spriggo's,Greg noticed his suit was covered with the greasy smears that came from the vacuum cleaner,so he left his jacket in the car and went.The host told Greg that the males are required to wear a jacket,Greg wasn't going to get his jacket from the car so they gave Greg a subsitute one,then Greg smelled a bad smell and noticed it was coming from his jacket,Greg went to the bathroom and cleaned it with water and then dried it,but the heat activated Bo and it spread,so Greg told them that its a bad place and they should leave.After leaving they were forced to go to Corny's,when they got there,Rowley was wearing a tie,so they chopped Rowley's of.Since the three didn't have a little kid around,they got seated in adult's area,but there were kids pounding on the window and distrubing them,so they moved to another seat,the other seat had a gross view of a family changing the diaper of their baby,so Greg blocked the view with a few menus,the waiteress bought them corn chips,Greg would pass one to Rowley from a straw,because he thinks he might infect them.Then the waiteress came back,Abigail ordered Two Appetizers and Rowley also ordered the same,The waiteress couldn't understand Rowley so he had to removed his scarf to say that,when Rowley was telling the waiter,a little molecule of his spit landed on Gregs lips,Greg rubbed it on Abigail's dress when she wasn't looking.Then the Waiteress came back to ask them for their main-course,Greg ordered a plain-hamburger to save money,Abigail ordered T-Bone Steak,which is the most expensive item,Rowley ordered the same.Then when the food came,Greg's hamburger had lettuce and tomato.He told the waiteress,the waiteress wiped the lettuce and tomato of with a napkin.After that Rowley and Abigail ordered desserts,Greg lied to the waiteress that Rowley had a birthday to save money,then all the waiters and waiteresses came and sang happy-birthday to you and gave Rowley his freecake,Abigail ordered a chocolate-cheescake which she only ate half of,then when the bill came Greg had to use all his money,then he took out Emergency Money from his socks,but it was wet so he had to Get $5 from Rowley's dad.Then Mr Jefferson hugged Rowley,which looked wierd to Abigail.The Theme of the Dance was "Midnight in Paris" and there was a long table with punch and snacks and a chocolate fountain with strawberries for dipping,Rowley,Abigail and Greg handed their tickets and got into the line for photos,each couple had their photo taken at a backdrop of Paris,Abigail and Greg got together,but Rowley also popped in.Greg found that Gary was the DJ and Gary was also selling his shirts and due to the reason it was dark at the gym,the kids weren't knowing that they are getting ripped off.Abigail then went went to talk with her friends and then they all went to the girl's bathroom together.Greg went into the boy's bathroom to hear what they are saying,but people made noises and when it got quiet,the girls had gone,Greg spotted them at the table.At around 7:50 PM,Gary started the music and then people around Greg's gramma started coming in.By 8:00Pm there were many of them,they told the Teachers they had booked the gym for a meeting,but the teachers said they booked it for a dance two weeks ago,but Seniors said they booked it two months ago and had paperwork for proof,then the girls from Dance Committee started fighting with them,Mrs Sheer said the seniors can have their meeting at one side while the kids can dance on other,everyone was fine with it.The Seniors turned lights on,it was bad for Gary because the kids found they had been ripped of and went to Gary,Gary distracted them by turning on the music high.The Girls were dancing in a big group and the boys were trying to break into the circle.Then a senior came to their side and told them the music is too high and needs to be lowered down,Gary lowered it by around 80%,the kids could hear everyword the Seniors said in there meeting,this didn't seemed to bother the girls and a lot of them took out personal music players and kept on dancing.All the boys were tired of being there best behaviour infront of girls and started playing around with the food and drinks and started doing other types of idotic things,the teachers tried to stop them,but they didn't stop.Greg was going near the stairs,but Rowley was already there and he got pantsed by the Mad Pantser,all the late-comers were walking in and then going back.At around 9:00 PM Michael Sampson walked in holding hands with Cherie Bellanger,Abigail found out that the family obligations was a lie and Michael didn't expect Abigail to be there since he thought that if he couldn't come,she couldn't.Abigail started crying and Greg and her friends tried to cheer her up.Right then the Senior Centre meeting ended and all the seniors went to the kid's side and ate all the snacks.Since there was nothing to dip in the chocolate fountain,Kids started sticking their fingers directly in it,but Mrs Sheer had to shut it down to get back a kid's lost contact lense.Gary tured on the music back and the seniors started making song requests and started dancing too,just then some old ladies started attracting to Greg.Gary announced the last song is coming up,so a few kids paired up and walked out on the dance floor as couples.Greg wanted the dance to end just the he saw Ruby Bird coming to make him dance with her,Greg got scared and found Abigail and took her hand and went to dance with her.During their dance,Greg spotted some little red bumps on Abigail's face and thought it was chicken pox and screamed and freaked out,it turned out it was just a pimple.Just then the dance ended and they went back home,Abigail wasn't talking to Greg and was close to Rowley and was only talking to him.A lot happened after the dance happened,Gary won forty-thousand-dollar from one of his scratch cards,he repayed Frank the money he had owed him and wished Greg luck in his love life and moved away and Greg ended up getting chicken-pox,Greg found that Rowley had pimples not chicken-pox and he heard that Abigail and Rowley are now couples,Greg says if it is true then Rowley is the worst wingman in the history.Greg could take long baths without anyone bothering him and he feels a little lonley.Greg had kept a towel near his tub after he finished Bathing,the towel was gone,Greg thinks someone stole the towel or Johnny Cheddar stole it.

  • The church had a new rule to send all the little kids to colour and play,when Susan first dropped Manny there,he met another kid and he scared Manny by telling him he was a vampire.
  • Greg said how he felt bad about Manny and how he had a kid in pre-school called Bradley who used to terrorize Greg,Greg told his Mom about it and then Bradley's family went away,Susan wrote a book called Bradley in which a kid called Bradley does bad things,Susan had to scrap the idea because just then Bradley's family moved back in.
  • Greg talk about how much his dad hates scratch cards and a few years ago frank got Gary a winter jacket,Gary gave him a scratch card which turned out to be fake.

  • I looked for a way to escape, but I was trapped. Luckily, Abigail walked out of the bathroom at that exact moment and I grabbed her hand just before Ruby got to me. Abigail's makeup was a mess from all of the crying, but I didn't really care. I was just happy to have an excuse to get  away from Ruby. And to be honest with you, I think Abigail was happy to see me, too, so I led her to an empty spot on the dance floor.
