Several of the characters make comics in the series. The ones that are shown are:

Greg Heffley

• Zoo-Wee Mama! - A bunch of comics in which the punchline is always Zoo-Wee Mama!

• Creighton the Cretin - A boy who always does stupid things, which get him into trouble.

• The Amazing Fart Police - Two police officers who arrest anyone who farts.

• Ugly Eugene - A boy who is so ugly that even his mom thinks so.

• Trevor the Talking Sideburn - A man named Trevor who's talking sideburn says wacky things that gets Trevor into trouble.

• Jerome, the man with Incredibly Red Lips - A one panel comic about a man named Jerome, who's red lips get him into trouble.

Rowley Jefferson

• Zoo-Wee Mama! - A bunch of comics that carry on from Gregs work.

• Action Fighterz - A comic featuring two people - Kaptain Klobber and Mr. Puncho. Each strip is divided into two panels for each day.

Fregley

• Gareth the Green Bean - A green bean who attends school.

Bryan Little

• Wacky Dawg - A dog that says funny things. However, soon into the strip, Bryan used it to handle his personal behaviour.

Tabitha Cutter and Lisa Russel

• Girls Rule - A comic strip that shows girls being horrid to boys. They always say: Girls rule! at the end.

Bob and Tyler Post

• Li'l Cutie - A one-panel strip showing a little boy saying cute things. Greg hates it.

Bill Tritt

• Dumb Teachers at our School - A one-panel strip showing teachers doing stupid things.

Sara Choo

• Pikki and Matz - A two panel strip showing a cat and a mouse telling jokes. This only appeared in the online book.
