Slipslide Water Park
The Slipslide Water Park is a water park geared towards a younger group of kids. It only appears in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. Greg and Rodrick both have past experiences with the park that have caused them to dislike it. When Greg was younger, he visited the park after being dropped off by Grandpa. He read a sign that said 'Under 48", must be accompanied by an adult'. Greg thought that meant you had to be 48 years old to ride alone, but it actually meant 48 inches; he essentially wasted the whole day waiting for Grandpa to return. Rodrick dislikes it because when Löded Diper was playing there, they had to use a bubble machine instead of a smoke machine because someone had switched the machines.
One day, during the course of Dog Days, Susan takes the whole family there for a family outing, but when they got there, they had to leave early as lightning struck and there was a traffic jam at the car park. After leaving, they had to stop for gas and suffer through Manny's made-up jokes which didn't make sense after a while. Eventually, Susan went to the back of the car to rest due to a headache. Traffic thinned out after an hour and they were on the road until eventually stopping for gas. While stopped for gas, Susan had gone to the bathroom without anyone realizing.
Slipside was only ever mentioned again in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, in which Greg says, "We went to a water park LAST summer but we got rained out".
