Alex Aruda is the smartest kid in Greg Heffley's class
Personality
Alex has a silent, studious, intelligent, and brainy personality. Greg would always copy off of him on tests, since he always finishes his test first and puts it one side where Greg can copy it. Alex, however does not take up anything seriously; he is only focused on his maths and spelling, and is completely oblivious to what occurs around him. Recess punishments don't really affect Alex, because he stays in from recess to read every day. He was actually once responsible, for "stealing" because he borrowed the teacher's book and didn't put it back. Alex, just like Greg, does not seem to have a lot of pals, and only considers non-fiction books as his friends. In Hard Luck, he was elected for "most likely to succeed".
