Surrey Street hill
The Surrey Street hill, simply called "the hill", is a hill on Surrey Street leading up to Upper Surrey Street. Below it is Lower Surrey Street. While it is technically part of every book as Greg lives on the hill, its most prominent appearance is in The Meltdown. It is well-known as a great sledding spot in the neighborhood. Greg first mentions the hill in Diary of a Wimpy Kid when Rowley rides the Big Wheel down the hill and Greg tries to aim a football at him. The hill is mentioned again in The Last Straw when the school bus is relocated to Whirley Street and he and Rowley had to walk to school. In the Meltdown, the Upper Surrey Street Kids, known as "the hill kids" and the Lower Surrey Street Kids, known as "the non-hill kids" have a feud which leads to the Battle of Surrey Street.
