In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul

Greg Heffley and his family pulled over to a motel since it was getting late but they did not have a good hotel nearby so they had no options. Greg said that the lobby smelled like mildew and the carpet was covered with stains. When they got to the room, it reeked of smoke and there were marks, possibly cigar burns, on the bed sheets, but due to the 24-hour cancellation policy, they stripped down the mattress and thought of sleeping. Greg and Rodrick Heffley went to the pool but it had no water, though there was a hot tub that the Beardos were already using, so Greg and Rodrick came back and Rodrick slept. Greg was about to sleep but woke up after a noise caused by the ramming of a cleaning cart onto a wall. He found the Beardo kids had got hold of the cleaning cart, and got out of the room and scolded them, the youngest one cried and went back to the room and got his father outside but knocked on the wrong door because he didn't see which one Greg went to.
