Diary of a Wimpy Kid online / Diary of a Wimpy Kid
In Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Diary of Wimpy Kid online, Susan and Greg buy him a wool sweater for Christmas. When Susan wraps the Giving Tree guy's and Greg's presents, she mixes them up and gives Greg the sweater while the Giving Tree guy gets Twisted Wizard. Susan calls it "a Christmas miracle" and thinks that the Giving Tree guy is happy that he got such a great gift. Greg explains to Susan that the Giving Tree guy has no use for the present as he does not have a TV or a console. He later writes that while his Christmas was not very good, it must have been worse for the Giving Tree guy.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever
In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever, Greg mentions sending yams and other canned food to the man for the school's Thanksgiving food drive. While he and his family are starving in the blizzard, Greg says that the Giving Tree guy is probably "having a good laugh about it."
