Watercress salad (known as watercrest salad in the online version) is a food that appears in Diary of a Wimpy Kid online and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules. It is the only dish that Grandpa knows how to make, being an uncooked bowl of watercress and other green vegetables floating in a bowl of water mixed with vinegar. Greg hates it, although Rodrick tells Grandpa that Greg loves watercress salad. Greg eats the watercress salad anyways to avoid hurting Grandpa's feelings. Watercress salad also appears in Wimpy Wonderland. While searching for Manny, the player's Poptropican must visit Leisure Towers to ask Grandpa for help. Grandpa answers that he has seen Manny, and will tell the character where over lunch, in a minigame in which the player must click the mouse repeatedly to stomach the character's watercress salad.
