Sesame Street is a real-life childrens' series. In Diary of a Wimpy Kid (online), Greg says that Manny is watching the show for "the millionth time today." In Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Manny is shown watching the "C is for Cookie" sketch while eating his breakfast. Sesame Street is also mentioned in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, as Greg thinks that Rowley's karate friends care about the show more than girls.
