Template:Real Historical PersonNathaniel Hawthorne was an author from Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. Greg Heffley chose him because he was supposed to write a letter to an author who is not Mik Davies. He hadn't read any of his books, and when telling him of this fact, he wrote "no offense" after it. He also asked Nathaniel what his favourite color, favourite animal, favourite flavour of ice cream and favourite superhero movie was. But he didn't answer, because he died more than a century ago, that note was written by Katrina Welker telling Greg about him.
