Melinda Henson is the one that said she heard about Silas Scratch that some kids talked about and she heard that Silas Scratch is going crazy and his nails grew very long.
On page 177, she acts strange in lunch and turns out she ate three servings of stew to make herself sick. She spend a few hours down at the nurse's station with indigestion. After that, she is sent back to rejoin her group.
