Emilio Mendoza is the boy that he spotted Gareth' tooth that stuck on Rowley's forehead. Then Mr. Jefferson told him to get the nurse to help. When his cabinnate named Gareth Grimes who tripped a rock sticking out of the ground. When he saw the rock that had scrapes, he got really upset. It was then turned out to be Silas Scratch who scraped the rock. Greg had borrowed his glasses to try out the reflection of sunlight through a lens onto a dry leaf which it was said to do in the book. But Greg forgot to return his glasses to him because he was a little carried away with the hi-five, he hi-five his cabinnate named Jeffrey Swanson and crushing his glasses in the process. By now Emilio is as blind as a bat without his glasses as he smacks into the tree, making him a little challenging for the rest of the trip. But thankfully, Jeffrey wears his glasses too so they can make another fire on the next day.
