Emilio Mendoza is the boy that he spotted [[Gareth]]'s tooth that stuck on [[Rowley]]'s forehead. Then [[Robert Jefferson|Mr. Jefferson]] told him to get the nurse to help. When his cabinnate named [[Gareth Grimes]] who tripped a rock sticking out of the ground, he saw the rock that had scrapes and he got really upset. It was then turned out to be [[Silas Scratch]] who supposadly scraped the rock. [[Greg]] had borrowed his glasses to try out the reflection of sunlight through a lens onto a dry leaf which it was said to do in the book. But Greg forgot to return his glasses to him because he was a little carried away with the hi-fives, he hi-five his cabinnate named [[Jeffrey Swanson]] and crushing his glasses in the process. By now Emilio is as blind as a bat without his glasses as he smacks into the tree, making him a little challenging for the rest of the trip. But thankfully, [[Jeffrey Swanson|Jeffrey]] wears his glasses too so they can make another fire on the next day.
