Diary of an Awesome, Friendly Kid is the diary of Rowley Jefferson, which uses more simple, but colored in, stick figures compared to Greg's diary. It is featured in The Wimpy Kid Do-It-Yourself Book and also alongside with the Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (film)'s DVD.

Story

In the first day, Rowley gets a "best friend" locket which both he and Greg can wear but Greg refuses due to it being for girls and also on the last Saturday, Greg got mad at Rowley for trying his retainer in the bathroom. Then he tells how Greg often gets his facts "wrong" as one day he told Rowley that the boys' and girls' signs on the gymnasium locker rooms were misplaced. Then, Rowley accidentally went in to the girls' locker room, thinking it was the boys' one, making him go to the principal 's office. Once, he went to the school in his pajamas because Greg told him it was pajama day. He says that he has to look out for things for Greg and all of this makes them "Best Friends forever", additionally noting that Robert and Linda Jefferson think of him as awesome and friendly and that Greg sometimes calls him bad names. Although it is not written in the story, Rowley also writes in his Sweet Secrets diary that he played with his Dinoblazers and that Mercahrex bit Triceratops's tail, followed by Triceratops saying "Oh yeah, weel how do you like THAT?!" and blasting Mercharex in the heiny.
