Administrator, commonly known as admins or sysops, is an advanced group of trusted users who have been granted the technical ability to perform certain special actions, these abilities include, blocking and unblocking user accounts, IP addresses, and IP ranges from editing, protecting pages (preventing them from being edited by users who are not autoconfirmed, or in rare cases by non-administrators), editing the interface (changing the look of the wiki by editing pages in the MediaWiki namespace), deleting and undeleting all pages, and moving (renaming) pages without restriction, and using certain other tools.
