Events
September
Greg gets his diary and is stuck in middle school with a bunch of morons. Greg first reveals about the "Cheese" at the school's basketball court. Manny gets a hold of one of Rodrick's Heavy Metal Magazines with a woman in a bikini lying on the hood of a car. That resulted in trouble. Greg runs for treasurer in student government. When Greg puts up negative posters about Marty Porter, another Treasurer candidate, The Vice Principal catches him which results in Greg's "political career" being over.
October
Greg plans to go to the Crossland High School Haunted House, but then changes his mind due to a long line and expensive pop. Then, Greg and Rowley decide to build a haunted house of their own, which results in both of them getting grounded including Rowley being grounded from television. Greg decides to be a pirate for Halloween and Rowley decides to be a knight. While Trick-or-treating, two teenagers came in the back of a pickup truck and sprayed Greg and Rowley with a fire extinguisher. Greg and Rowley then retreat at Gramma's House. They eventually decide to leave gramma's house then they decided to go back to Greg's house, only to be surprised with Frank Heffley and his bucket of water.
November
Greg's school decides to do a wrestling unit. When the wrestling unit started, the cafeteria turned into a complete madhouse. When Greg wrestles with Rowley, he thinks he will be good, but he ended up being at the bottom weight class and beat by Fregley. Greg wants to get stronger so his dad talks him into getting a weight lifting set. Greg has a states and capitals quiz, but Patty Farrell was able to cover up the United States Map, which caused Greg to flunk the quiz. Greg's mother forces him to sign up for The Wizard of Oz play but he does not want to. Greg wants to be a tree for two reasons. 1) They don't have to sing and 2) They get to beam Dorothy with apples. The Play ended because Patty Farrell's glasses broke.
December
Greg's Christmas becomes very horrible.Greg only gets books and socks.Rodrick gives Greg a l'il cutie book. And we all know that Greg HATES l'il cutie.His dad gives Greg a weight set,but Greg gave up on working out. The only member in the Heffly family is Manny.The worst part was the gift from his mom.She was suppost to give him Twisted Wizard,but she gave him a red sweater.The reason Greg got a sweater was because his mom mix-up the gifts.The sweater was suppost to go to charity,but she used the same kind of wrapping paper with the sweater and Greg's gift.Rowley gives him a gift, but it's a big wheel during New Years Eve, Greg finds a little ball of thread and Manny eats it.
January
Greg injures Rowley with the big wheeler that Rowley got him for Christmas. Greg then joins the safety patrol.
February
Greg and Rowley attempt to build the worlds largest snowman.
March
Greg chases kindergartners with a worm on a stick. Rowley gets kicked off saftey patrols for 1 week. Greg Tells Rowley he was the cultrip and gets relived of his Saftey Patrol Duties "effective immediatley."
April
Greg invites himself to Fregley's house. Fregley chases Greg With a Booger on his finger.
Rowley becomes friends with Collin Lee.
May
The Teenagers Make Rowley Eat The Cheese.
