Template:InfoCharacter Creighton the Cretin is a comic written by Greg Heffley after quitting Zoo-Wee Mama. The charachter's overall appearance looks much like Scotty Douglas and Greg's later comics may be based on Scotty's behavior.

Personality of the Character

Creighton is a complete idiot that is ignorant of almost everything. In the first book, he falls for the easiest jokes played on him and does strange, idiotic, and unexpected actions that he thinks make him look cool, but instead backfire and make him look like an immature and completely misguided idiot. He is also ignorant of his own stupidity, as people usually have to point out that Creighton is wrong or misguided, to which his customary response is that he "thought" it was right, and gives a bad excuse for it. He is probably the dummest person in Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, Creighton knows nothing.

Appearance

Like everybody else in the series, Creighton is colored black and white. Creighton has five pointy hairs sticking up at the top of his oval-shaped head. His ears notably stick out, as most characters are only drawn with one ear at a time. Another notable feature is his buck teeth, of which, are uncommon, even in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid universe.

Spin-Offs

Several Creighton spin-offs were made as well as the original strip.

Creighton the Curious Student

This was Mr. Ira's "minor edit" to the strip, which turned Creighton into an inquisitive student asking his teacher about math problems. This is why Greg quit writing, as it made him look like a teacher's pet.

Creighton the Comedian

This appears in the Do-It-Yourself book. Creighton tries to make people laugh but keeps messing up the jokes and the people boo him off the stage

Creighton the Dinosaur

Creighton is performing in a dinosaur costume in front of little kids. They want him to sing a song to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Creighton, however, sings an offensive song, and the kids hate it and him.

Song: You should smell this costumes feet, I ain't washed it in six weeks.

Creighton The Magician

This strip appears in Rodrick Rules, Greg explains that Rowley quit his comic part of the school paper and then Greg mentions he might have a chance and then this comic strip comes up. Creighton is first going to make a apple disapper but he only eats a little bit of the apple and the kids hate it. He then pretends he can set a lighter on fire but he accutally turns it on, then Creighton gets booed off stage
