Creighton the Cretin (also known as Creighton the Curious Student and Creighton the Comedian) is a character from Greg Heffley's comic of the same name. His overall appearance looks much like Scotty Douglas and Greg's later comics may be based on Scotty's behavior.

Personality

Creighton is a complete idiot that is ignorant of almost everything. In the first book, he falls for the easiest jokes played on him and does strange, idiotic, and unexpected actions that he thinks make him look cool, but instead backfire and make him look like an immature and completely misguided idiot. He is also ignorant of his own stupidity, as people usually have to point out that Creighton is wrong or misguided, to which his customary response is "Oh. I thought that <insert excuse here>." In the second book and following, his misguided behavior is based off of Scotty Douglas, which according to Greg is a selfish first-grader that always wants his way.
