Charlotte's Web is a real life book by E.B. White.
In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, Susan chooses this book for the Reading Is Fun club. Greg thinks that this is a "classic" book where a character ends up dying, and is able to conclude from the cover that either the girl or the pig doesn't make it to the end of the book.
In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Getaway, Greg says that he hates spiders and wants to be an exterminator. He writes that if he were a character in Charlotte's Web, "it would've been a very short book," accompanied by an illustration of Greg spraying bug spray at Charlotte.
