Alex Aruda is the smartest kid in Greg Heffley's class and recurring character in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Greg would always copy off of him on tests. He also appeared in The Last Straw as he got Greg and the others stuck in for recess , mainly due to him having Mrs. Craig's dictionary and studying for a spelling bee and that recess punishments doesn't affect Alex barely at all.
