The Heffley's won a baby pig in a country fair in [[Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul]] for guessing the weight of a grown hog which was eventually 243.1 pounds. The baby pig was originally gonna be returned since [[Susan Heffley]] only entered the contest for fun. The crowd would be insulted which made her changed her mind. The baby pig would eventually be imprinted on Manny. The pig would cause trouble for the Hefflys. On the van, it woke up and caused chaos which resulted in [[Greg Heffley]] get bit by the pig. It didn't behave very well so [[Susan Heffley]] took him to a petting zoo for obedience lessons. Manny would soon be heartbroken by the news while the Heffleys took Greg to a vet to check Greg's finger (the spot where he got bitten). The Heffleys came back for it at the end of the book when they get aided by two men who understands Manny's perfect Spanish. The pig is actually smart. It somehow opened 3 cans of soda and can use the TV remote to watch television with Manny. Mom would repeat how "pigs are as smart as dogs" which is used for the function of the baby pig
