Sweetie Heffley is a boy dog in Diary of a Wimpy kid. He appears in book 4 Dog Days.
Summary
When Frank Heffley was mad at Grandpa for running over his dog, Nutty, he left the Leisure Towers and went without anyone. When he came back, there was a box. He opened it and there was a dog. The names the kids wanted to name Sweetie were Shredder, Zeeb, or Turtle. But Susan Heffley decided Sweetheart, [ short for Sweetie ], and Frank agreed.
When the Heffleys returned home, everyone was excited for a few days, but something happened to change that. Sweetie saw a commercial and now Sweetie constantly barks at the TV,and nothing stopped it.
Then more problems came. Sweetie licks Greg's pillow, annoys Susan, is naughty for Frank, and ran out the door for no reason.
Then all the Heffleys had enough.
On Sunday, Frank called Grandma on the the phone, and the next day Frank sent Sweetie to Grandma's house. Frank said that Sweetie is going to live at Grandma for good. Nobody really missed him.
