Susan Heffley Is Greg, Manny, and Rodrick's Mother. She is married to Frank Heffley. She usually embarrasses Greg and Rodrick in some way because she always thinks that it is "good" for Greg and Rodrick, while in reality, it is the contrary.

She LOVES dancing. Because of this fact, she also embarrasses Rodrick in the second book by dancing at the talent show that Rodrick and his band played in hopes to get "noticed" by the heavy metal albums, so that he could drop out of school and play in the band full-time. However, while Rodrick's band was playing, she made two major mistakes - when she was recording, she called out her personal opinion on everything that she didn't like. When the school was recording, she danced in front of the camera for the whole time without stopping. This caused Rodrick to become furious.

In Dog Days, Susan gets a camera and takes pictures of almost everything that happens and at the end of the book, her "album" is shown that describes every event that she had captured on her camera, albeit the information was not accurate.

She is played by Rachael Harris in the film.
