Shadowdoom is a medieval-set fictional chapter book.It is one of the book series that Greg wanted to read. Due to its length and interest, Greg enthusiastically shares this book with others at the "Reading is Fun" book club, but it was rejected by Susan, who deemed the book cover as offensive to women. Greg later comments that the book cover had nothing to do with the story, as there were no women in the book at all.
