Scratch Cards are lotto cards that can win money in the series. Uncle Gary won $40,000 when he bought a lot of cards with the money he made while selling T-shirts. In The Ugly Truth, Gammie thought she had won ten million dollars until she realized that her card wasn't a winner. They are different than lottery, which you pick 4, 5, or 6 random numbers in a paper and then get a receipt.
