He is Greg's best friend and almost always has his mouth open.
Friendship with Greg
Rowley is Greg's best friend because Rowley came to his house making jokes with a book called How to Make Friends in New Places.
One joke he told Greg was this. Rowley says "Knock Knock!" Greg replies "Huh?" Rowley says "Thermos!" Greg replies "Excuse me?" Rowley says "Thermos be some way to tickle your funny bone!" Greg replies "Say what?"
Greg kind of felt sorry for Rowley and decided to take him under his wing.
