In the movie she is the mian antagonist , acting arogant and spoiled . It is revealed that her mother is presidint of the PTA . Becuse of this she acts like she is above school rules as she threatened her teacher if she doesn't get to play Dorthy . She also threatens to beat up greg in her introduction and it Is revealed she beat him up once before to wich rowley say's was "ugly"  . It is revealed in the movie she has a vendetta for Greg ever since kindergarden when she fell victim to one of his childish jokes were he sang "patty patty fatty fatty has the face of a ratty ratty" , dispite  evreyone else thinking it was funny she always held a grudge , proving she can't take a joke (that is if it's on her).
She fights Greg twice in the movie - once in the wrestleing scene and agian in the play scene after Greg threw a apple at her after she spazed out to get him to sing. Dispite this she Is somehow the student body presidint and has a great reputation (possibly becuse of her mothers connection to the school) . She also say's she won't let anyone stand in her way of becomeing presidint of the school implying she bullied her way in.
At the end of the film she gets the cheese touch with only [[Greg]] , [[rowley]] and [[angie]] knowing .

Patty Farrell is a major antagonist in the series. She has a minor role in the books, but she played a larger role in the film.

Story

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Patty appeared firstly in Diary of a Wimpy Kid, when she mentioned to Mr. Ira that he should cover up the United States billboard so nobody could cheat, and because of that, Greg flunked the test.

She later appears in September at "The Wizard of Oz" play. She plays the role as Dorothy and she takes it seriously. Greg later throws an apple at her and the other trees get in the act, until, Patty's glasses got knocked off and were smashed. After that, the play was closed and she didn't appear for the rest of the book.

The Last Straw

Patty appears again, in The Last Straw, as she watches the class, and nobody wants to step out of her line. She is mentioned one last time, by Greg, as she was sick and didn't attend school.

Personality

She is characterized as the teacher's pet and a nerd, and due to events happening in the first book, she becomes very mean to Greg Heffley. She is selfish, and wanted to be Dorothy in the "Wizard of Oz" play at Westmore Middle School. She will even sue people if she doesn't get what she wants. In The Last Straw, when the teacher leaves the room, Patty is left in charge. Greg writes that she is very strict when in control, letting no one out of the classroom, even if a fellow student has to use the bathroom.

Appearance

Patty along with Greg in the movie.

Patty is illustrated as wearing wide open glasses and pig-tails and this has been seen throughout the series. No other illustration of Patty has been shown other than glasses and her style of hair. According to Greg, she can't see one foot in front of her without her glasses and is practically blind without them, although in the movie, she doesn't wear them.

Relationships

Greg Heffley

Greg and Patty overall have a very poor relationship. Patty has done a lot to trouble Greg such as when Greg tried to cheat on a test, Patty asked the teacher to cover the map up, causing Greg to fail his test. Greg however gets back at Patty for throwing an apple at her head in Diary of a Wimpy Kid, humiliating her in front of many parents. In the movie however, Greg has to wrestle her instead of Fregley after gaining 10 pounds, making Greg's popularity quickly drop slightly, and she wins. Despite this, their relations does have its ups and downs.

Rowley Jefferson

Although not clearly evident in the first book, the relationship between Rowley and Patty were only evident in the film. In the film, Patty accused Rowley first for eating the cheese, but Greg stood in to defend Rowley. However, Rowley did give the cheese touch to Patty at the end of the book, without any one realizing.

Teachers

Overall, Patty has a good relationship with her Teachers, since they compliment Patty's success in her academics.
