He heard the door being knocked by a bunch of angry parents, the ones who let their kids have cell phones, and toke them home around 3:00 because they were trying to call them to see if everything was okay, but since Mr. Palmero toke them, they didn't answer. Mr. Palmero left them with little kid stuff and it was balloons and a ball pit. Greg said earlier on the night he went to brush his teeth at the end of the gym and he heard this weird noise, and complained that his school has problems with rodents but it turned out to be Fregley playing by himself in the ball pit. Fregley didn't appear in the little kid stuff between Greg and Rowley, so obviously the teachers told him to go home because he didn't appear when they were up in the gym or maybe he disappeared and went back home, or he was hiding in there, trying not to get caught.
