He was in detention for almost throwing a chair at a wasp that sat on the window in homeroom, but was stopped by the teacher and sent to detention. In [[The Last Straw]] Greg got a detention for sleeping in the class. When he got to detention, he took the only free seat in front of Leon. Leon kept bothering Greg, but [[Mr. Ray]] caught him and gave him a last warning. Greg didn't want Leon to trouble him, so he slapped his arm and screamed to fake that he was being bullied by him, Mr. Ray, who was looking the other side, looked back and told Leon he is going to stay for a half hour more and will come for another detention the next day.

Leon starts bothering Greg by giving him wet willies and flicking his ear whenever [[Mr. Ray]] looked away. Eventually, Leon gets careless, and is caught by Mr. Ray, who warns him he will be in trouble if he catches him touching Greg again. However, as soon as Mr. Ray turns around again, Greg, knowing that Leon would continue to bother him once Mr. Ray turned around and that he would be very careful to avoid being caught again, claps his hand together to make it seem Leon hit him and Leon is told he has to stay an extra half hour in detention and that he has detention the next day, as well.

*The reason why Leon bothered Greg during detention is unknown. It is possible that Greg did something not specified to Leon earlier or that maybe when he gets detention, he always bothers the kid sitting in front of him.
*Leon has likely gotten many detentions before, seeing that he got in trouble for "hitting" Greg. It clearly wasn't his first detention.

Leon Ricket is a character who appears in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw.

Leon is given detention for smashing a chair against a wasp that sat on the window in homeroom. Greg gets a detention for sleeping in class, and takes the only empty seat, which is in front of Leon. Leon starts bothering Greg by giving him wet willies and flicking his ear whenever Mr. Ray looked away. Eventually, Leon gets careless, and is caught by Mr. Ray, who warns him he will be in trouble if he catches him touching Greg again.
