Ladybug

The Ladybug was a phone that Greg was given as a present for his birthday, in Dog Days. The phone, however, only had two specific functions; Call home, or the police. This disappointed Greg so much, he rarely, if ever used it. After believing his dad was giving him, "the axe", he used the Ladybug for the first and only time. 

It is unknown what happen to the Ladybug, but Dad may have thrown it away because Greg used it to called the police.

In the movie, instead of getting it for his birthday, he gets it by Rowley's parents. Greg used it on Mr. Jefferson, but then he is sent home.

The phone is like a red ladybug and has only 2 buttons, one to call home and one to call 911. When Greg opened the phone and saw that it only had 2 buttons, he asked his mom and dad if it was a joke. They replied 'we didn't want to overwhelm you' with a keypad.
