In April 2010, he appeared in the "Seeds of Compassion" advertorial campaign announcing the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/14th_Dalai_Lama Dalai Lama's] visit to London England, as well as appearing in educational commercials for English and Scottish schools.

Karan Brar (born January 18,1999) is an american-indian actor,best known for his role of Chirag Gupta in the Wimpy kid movies and Ravi Ross in Jessie.

Early Life and Career

Karan was born on January 18,1999 to two Indian couples of Indian ancestry in Redmond,Washington,he was raised in Bothell,Washington and has one elder sibling and a sister.He attended Cedar Wood Elemantry School and studied acting in John Robert Powers and Patti Kalles workshops.Karan began his acting career on March 19,2010 at the age of 10 in Diary of a Wimpy Kid (film) as Chirag Gupta,Karan naturally speaks in American accent as he was born and grown up in United States,he worked his Indian accent with dialect coach.In March 2011,a sequel to the Wimpy kid film called Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules (film) was made and Karan once again played the role of Chirag Gupta,and in 2012 he once again reprised the role of Chirag Gupta in the third installment Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (film).In September 2011 he got the role of Ravi Ross in the disney show,Jessie the role of Ravi was orginally given to a hispanic boy from south america,but the cast directors were impressed with Karan and took him.He has won two awards,one from young artis award  for "Best Performance in a Feature Film Young Ensemble Cast" and the other one is also a young artist award for "Best Performance in a TV series Supporting Young Actor" and he was nominated for one young artist award too.
