He nearly sat next to Greg on the first day of middle school, but Greg, trying to avoid sitting next to him, lied that the seat next to him was taken. He is named Otha Harris in the online version, and has the exact same role in the book adaptation. His only appearance was in the first book.

• The fact that he appears older and taller than Greg implies that Jason failed 6th grade atleast once.
• In the movie he can be seen on 22nd position on the Popularity list,its unknown how he is in the 22nd position.
