I Love You Because is a game played only in the Dog Days film adaptation. Linda Jefferson teaches this game to Greg while Greg is staying with the Jeffersons. The game has a spinner in the middle of the table and the person spinning must give a reason why they love whoever the spinner lands on. Greg finds the game uncomfortable as he is forced to give a reason why he "loves" Rowley's dad. Greg questions how anyone could win this game, as there is no apparent object of the game.
