Template:Infobox-Person George Washington was a real-life American political leader, military general, statesman, and founding father who served as the first president of the United States from 1789 to 1797. He appears in Double Down.

George Washington is mentioned by Greg Heffley when he discusses his brother Rodrick's claim that his ghost would haunt him if he burped indoors. Though he has doubts, he chooses to stay safe by only burping when outside or near a window. He was also mentioned in Rodrick Rules, in which Greg explains the ways he thinks are honest things, like saying to Rowley's grandpa that he'll get a chocolate cake if he survived the next year, with him saying that he never understood how George Washington became president.
