Gary Heffley
Template:InfoCharacter Gary Heffley[1], more commonly referred to as, "Uncle Gary", is the uncle of Greg Heffley. Not much is known about him, apart from the fact that he was mentioned in book 3, where Greg had to go to his wedding. He is heavily featured in The Ugly Truth, as he is getting married for the fourth time to a woman named Sonja. But at their wedding Leonard stands up and says that when Gary and Sonja were watching a game while they were dating, a plane flew over that said: Marry Me Sonja? Sonja said yes but there must have been another Sonja in the crowd. Leonard says it was a big misunderstanding and Sonja gets angry.
In the online version, Gary is not married to Sonja, but to a woman named Linda instead. Besides that, everything is likewise as the book. His best man, Leonard, is also named Ron, in the online version.

- When Uncle Joe and Frank Heffley tell Greg he needs to start thinking about his future, he comments himself as more of an "Uncle Gary kind of guy".[2]
