Diary of a Wimpy Kid 5 is the fifth installment of the Wimpy Kid series. The cover of the book is purple. It will be released on November 9th, 2010. Originally, the book was speculated to talk about Greg's last year in middle-school, but apparently, it talks about a different topic. On May 20th, 2010, Amulet Books announced that Diary of a Wimpy Kid 5 will be released on November 9th, 2010 and the official color is purple. They also announced that the cover and name of the book will be released in July. The caption is "This Fall... Everything Changes".
The plot of this book is about Greg and Rowley's friendship. A picture of the book shows Rowley sweating, holding his backpack, and on his backpack is a 5 that is purple. And on the 5, Greg is drinking a drink. This proves they will break up as friends. But, will they stay mad. Or will Greg break up with him as a friend because he doesn't want to look like a loser at High School?
