Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth is the next installment of the Wimpy Kid series. The cover of the book is purple. The cover and the name of the book was announced on July 29,2010. The caption is "This Fall... Everything Changes".

The book will be about Greg and Rowley's friendship. This will be marked as the second time talking about Greg and Rowley's friendship. Despite the rumors, Trista didn't appear in this book neither mention. This also goes for Holly Hills.
