Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth is the next installment of the Wimpy Kid series. The cover of the book is purple. The cover and the name of the book was announced on July 29,2010. The caption is "This Fall... Everything Changes".
The book will about Greg and Rowley's friendship. This will be marked as the second time talking about Greg and Rowley's friendship. Despite the rumors, Trista didn't appear in this book neither mention. This also goes for Holly Hills.
Synopsis
Greg finds himself in his final year of middle school, where he is beginning to go through puberty. What really gets him thinking about growing up is when he is assigned to treat an egg as if it were a baby (as seen in the cover). Greg is also realizing that Rowley might never understand the concept of growing up, and this ends up getting them into their biggest fight ever. This book will decide if they remain friends.
• Greg goes to the school "Lock-in", which turns out to be a drag.
• Mom takes Manny to a "school", so the family has to do their own chores.
