Jeff Kinney is working on a 7th book. Not much is known about it. The book will either be out late 2012 or early 2013 as Jeff is busy working on the 3rd film and the 2nd Wimpy Kid Poptropica Island.

- Greg and Rowley become detectives for their neighbour hood.
- There will be a school Valentine's dance.
- There will be a refference to St. Patrick's Day or Greg celebrating it.
- Greg will have a pot luck dinner.
- Rowley might fall in love.
- Greg might become a staff member of the year book.
