The title of Wimpy Kid 8 was announced on the 8th of August 2013. It's name being, 'Hard Luck'. It's cover has a lime green colour with magic 8 balls surrounding Greg (who is covering his head with a school book)
Plot
In his first interview about Hard Luck, Kinney says Greg isn't aging or maturing but continues to find new comic challenges. It's the eighth book in the wildly popular series, written and illustrated by Kinney for readers 8 and up.
Kinney says Greg's best friend, Rowley, "has a girlfriend. Greg is on his own. He realizes the choices he's made haven't been the best, so he decides to turn his decisions over to chance, using an 8 Ball."
