Diary of a Wimpy Kid is the first book in the series. The book was released in April-may 2007, and was followed by Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.

Summary

The book begins with an introduction to Gregory "Greg" Heffley and his middle school life. It takes place during his first year of middle school. He hates it as soon as the school year starts, dealing with bullies, homework, and even rotten cheese known as the Cheese touch. Greg can't wait until it's over.
