He touched a piece of cheese which started it. In the book, he started the Cheese Touch to creep people out. In [[Diary of a Wimpy Kid (film)|the movie]], it was said when he touched a piece of cheese on the basketball court, everyone runs away from him, leaving him crying. But he later touched a girl who then had it. She called it the Cheese Touch. Those are the first moments of on account of the cheese touch. [[Chirag Gupta]] says it was "friend turning on friend, brother on sister".
