Coach Malone is the gym teacher at Westmore Middle School in the first three Diary of a Wimpy Kid films. Coach Malone does not appear in any of the books, in which his counterpart is Mr. Underwood.
In the first film, Coach Malone makes the class play Gladiator. In the second film, Coach Malone chases Greg and Rodrick after they done a prank on him. In the third film, Coach Malone pretends not recognize Greg when he is talking on the phone with him.
