The Last Straw
In The Last Straw, his role has been diminished. He only appears in one scene on April Fools' Day where Greg tries to repeat the "Invisible Chirag" joke by tricking him into thinking he is losing his hearing; this failed.
The Ugly Truth
He is briefly seen telling Greg that he doesn't have a maid. He was invited to a party with Rowley later on in the book, but was solely there to be abused by the older kids as a servant as Greg described.[1]
Appearance
Chirag is the same age as Greg; he's also in the same grade with him, but is much shorter than him, to the point of which Greg says if grades were based on heights he would still be in the first grade. Like a lot of people in the book, his nose is extremely long and he has short and stubby hair. His immense ears are are circular in shape along with his beady eyes.
In the movie, Chirag has a heavy Indian appearance. He isn't that short as he is in the book, has short, rounded hair instead of stubby hair, and noticeably large teeth.
