Template:InfoCharacter Charlie Heffley (born February 5. 1961) (age 51) is Greg Heffley's great-uncle and a recurring character in the series.

Overview

Greg describes his uncle as giving his known nephews anything they want. Although that's how Greg describes him, when Greg was 7, he wanted a Barbie beach house. Charlie instead purchased the first thing in the store with the word "Barbie" on it and just got Greg a doll. When the first book took place, Charlie gave Greg a picture of himself, and a clothes hamper for Christmas. Greg describes it as "getting a chore for Christmas." Greg asked Charlie to exchange it for money and give it to Greg so that he could buy something he would use. Susan says that the idea was "excellent" and that Greg would have to do his laundry from now on.

Greg Heffley airs his dirty laundry. Greg emptys it because he needs clean clothes for the Valentine Day Dance.

Greg mentions that Charlie has a recliner that he spends most of his life on. He showed that how Uncle Charlie used to call him Red when he was small. The nickname was chosen because of the color of Greg's pajamas: after Greg got some blue pajamas, Charlie started calling him "Whatch' you say Blue?".
