Zachary Adam "Zach" Gordon (born February 15, 1998) is an American teen-actor (formely a child actor) who works on movies and television programs. He is best known for playing the role of Greg Heffley in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Film Series.

Personal Life

Zach was born on 15th February 1998 and raised in Oakpark,California. He has two siblings named Josh and Kyle. He is Jewish from a practicing family and is attending a public highschool in Oak Park.

Career

Gordon has many television appearances,such as in shows like All of Us and also How I Met your Mother.He has also appeared in the 2008 opening of the show, Desperate Housewives , and also appeared in an episode of the show.

His film credits (2007–2008) include Sex and Death 101, Lower Learning, the Garry Marshall film Georgia Rule (for which he won the "Young Artist Award" for his portrayal of the character Ethan), The Brothers Bloom, as Young Bloom, and alongside Nicolas Cage in National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007). Gordon has been credited with numerous voice-over roles including "Brad Spolyt" in The Chubbchubbs Save Xmas, "Ricky Garcia" in Project Gilroy, "San San" in Nick Jr.'s Ni Hao, Kai-Lan and The Mighty B! He is a series regular as the voice of Gil in the Nickelodeon series,Bubble Guppies. Gordon has voice acted as Baby Melman in the animated film, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Kotaro in Afro Sumurai: Resurrection, and Young Tony Stark in The Super Hero Squad Show. In 2010 he made a birthday wish to get the role of Greg Heffley in Diary of a Wimpy Kid (film) and he ended up getting the role too, and in 2011 appeared as Papi Jr. in Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2. In June 2010, 20th Century Fox announced a sequel to the Wimpy Kid film, named Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules (film), it was released on March 25 2011 and he once again played the role of Greg Heffley. In 2011, he did voice acting as Charlie Brown in the show Robot Chicken. In 2012, a sequel to Rodrick Rules film, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (film) was made and he once again reprised the role of Gregory Heffley.
