Virtually Live is a livestream that happens annually and is a live event with a live audience. It is the event in which the next books cover, color and title are revealed at.

2017

On 27 April 2017, at Carnegie Hall in New York, Jeff Kinney is set to reveal the official cover of the twelfth book in the series. It will be displayed on Wimpy Kid's YouTube channel.

2016

On April 28, during the 3rd annual Wimpy Kid month (an annual month long event) the 2nd annual Wimpy Kid Virtually Live event was held in New York City to a live audience and on a livestream. It revealed book 11, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Double Down's book color, cover and title. It also featured Jeff Kinney, who answered questions, showed off concept art from book 10, and showed how to draw Greg Heffley.

2015

The 2nd annual Virtually Live event featured Jeff Kinney, a video interview from Zachary Gordon and a reveal of the 10th book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School's cover art, title and color.

2014

The first annual Virtually Live event featured Jeff Kinney, and revealed The Long Haul's official cover for the first time.
